The property is beautiful, it’s quiet and excluded from reality. Definitely somewhere to come to get away from city life or just needing a break. Also, if you’re a dog person they have the best welcome pup Finnley who loves coming to say hi!

Such a beautiful setting! We loved seeing the wild turkeys, too! It was a perfect stop after a long day of travel. Check in with super easy and everything was just as we expected. Very comfortable. Thank you so much for everything!!!

Everything near and far was peaceful. Saw dear in front of the porch. Found that wild turkeys can be entertaining. The owners dog was adorable. He would check on us twice a day as he made his rounds. Owners were perfect. They are on the same property but you would not notice other then a friendly chat a couple times. My youngest who gets spooked, along with the rest of us felt so safe. The location is great. Seemed like everything big box store cities and outdoor sporting was within 20 miles.

If you are looking for very rural, quiet, and without city amenities, this is your place. Do not come and show your disappointment, as it is accurately described. It’s just the type of place I look for, the quaint cabin with unusual antiques placed around, the friendly hound, are bonuses.

This home was clean and had lots of character. However, the bedroom windows were covered with plastic and could not be opened or looked through. The portable AC unit kept tripping the power strip and needed to be reset every couple of hours. The floors sloped and the lighting was dim, making reading difficult. The kitchen lacked oven mitts and a pizza cutter. We enjoyed the farm location and watching the turkeys roam the property.

It was a quaint cabin in the countryside and I enjoyed listening to the crickets and hanging out with Finley, the friendly pup on the porch! We really enjoyed seeing the flocks of wild turkeys wandering around!

They were wonderful, and I felt bad because we ended up with some extra people for lunch on Thanksgiving. But things calmed down, and we had a wonderful evening out by the fire. The house was historic, and roomy. The kitchen and pantry were wonderful, it had an indoor woodstove (but we didn't need it). The outdoor area was huge, and the kids got to play frisbee and play with the owner's wonderful dog.

I wrote to our host before arriving noting that instead of 3 guests we had 4 and were arriving late. No response back, ever. We got there and getting in was easy, but there were no lights on outside and we had to get into the house in the dark. Walking in there was a musty smell. After turning the porch light on to bring our items in I went in the kitchen to check out the coffee pot situation. There was a Keureg and many old coffee pots. I opened one and it was full of mold and old coffee grounds, the source of the smell. Took 30 min to clean and stunk up the house. Daughter tried to pull out the couch to a bed as advertised. It does NOT do that, only a couch. The next day we came back after a long day, used the kitchen and BBQ, then played Uno on the table. We brought it, There was only 6 dice and 2 cribbage boards with missing pegs and a deck of cards for games there. After, we tried to take a shower and finish dishes, but there was NO water. Messaged the host (it was late), no response, ever. 20 min later it came back on while we were figuring out what to do. Wrote host again. The towels for showers are not kept in the bathroom on the "towel rack", they are in the main bedroom. No one knew this and had to dry off with handtowels, then found out after. We had tried to go out and sit by the firepit and use chairs we brought only to be met with a "no fires" sign. Was never told this beforehand. Overall missleading info and no communication.

Always enjoy this farm house, Finn is the icing that brings me back. Wood is stocked. Clean place and comfortable beds. Good water pressure and its hot! This is my 3rd stay.

Wonderful stay

Adorable house, amazing family renting the house, beautiful property with turkeys running around. Perfect space for my husband and I with our daughter and grandson. We will hopefully be staying here again.

Wonderful pastoral setting outside of gold hill oregon. House was charming and all amenities provided. Museum in town was very good and plenty of other activities. An overall a great getaway. Curt is an affable host who will make sure things are tight.

Perfect getaway

Adorable rustic cabin! Feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere but it’s still close to everything. Super quiet, cozy and peaceful. We loved sitting under the stars at night listening to the nightly sounds.
