Un charmant gîte construit en 1935, puis restauré et rénové en 2022 par le petit-fils des propriétaires d'origine. Situé dans la campagne de l’ouest du comté de Clare.
3 chambres, 1 salle de bain, tout le confort moderne, Wi-Fi, télévision, lave-vaisselle, lave-linge/sèche-linge. 3 lits doubles, 1 grand lit à deux places, il peut accueillir 7 personnes dans les lits, 1 canapé-lit et dispose également de la place pour deux lits bébé. Un point de départ idéal pour découvrir le Wild Atlantic Way. Elle se trouve à moins d’une heure de Galway et de Limerick, et encore plus près des falaises de Moher, du château de Dromoland, de Doolin, des îles d’Aran, du château de Bunratty, du Burren, des villes de Ballyvaughn, Ennis et Ennistymon, des stations balnéaires de Quilty et Kilkee, près de Spanish Point et de diverses plages du comté de Clare occidental. À 15 minutes de la ville de Lahinch, réputée pour son parcours de golf et ses spots de surf. C'est un excellent point de départ pour le golf, à proximité de Lahinch, Doonbeg, Ballybunion et Adare ; il y a même un parcours de golf de 9 trous à Spanish Point.

What a lovely country spot! We loved the cows right outside our window and watching the rains roll in. The whole house was so cozy and we loved learning about the family history of the property. Thank you for having us!

Lovely quiet retreat

A beautiful home, quiet and tranquil.A little off the beaten path for sure, but within driving 10 mins to amenities. A little hard to find, the pin took us to the wrong place twice.All in all, this is a gorgeous, clean, beautiful country retreat.

This cottage is well-equipped and in a quiet and lovely part of County Clare. The outdoor space is very useful. Dining space was good for the 4 of us. Views of the sunset were great. The drive to get there is a bit tricky. Irish country lanes are narrow and wind around a bit. Overall, wonderful stay and would stay here again.

Cozy country cottage

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was spacious and charming. The kids had so much fun playing hide and seek and tag in the yard. We easily made trips to The Cliffs of Moher and Spanish Point beach. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely home

We stayed for 3 nights as a home base for exploring the area. We really enjoyed the cottage and found the surrounding area and nearby towns to be charming. The kids enjoyed visiting the cows and horses next door and it was fun to see a fox wandering the meadow visible through the kitchen window. I really enjoyed the kitchen and cooking breakfast for the family each day before our daily activities and also enjoyed the fire place.

Charming Irish Cottage

Beautifully restore Irish cottage, lots of charm and attention to details paid w this restoration. My family and I spent two amazing nights at this property, and my only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. Prior to our stay the host was very helpful w regards to recommendations in the area for a celebratory dinner. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed here the last three days of our honeymoon and wow this was such a perfect place for us. The area is so quiet and serene and the cottage is just as cozy and charming as the pictures. We ended up sleeping in the yellow room with the two beds because that bed was extra comfortable. A tiny note about laundry. Because Ireland is very environmentally conscious, water conservation is a priority so the laundry machine was small. Just do small loads at a time and you should be fine! They even already had detergent and everything, so we didn't have to buy anything except food for our stay. Our favorite part about the place however was the kitchen! What a beautiful kitchen! The view out of the window was so calming. The drawers and cabinets are exactly what we would want for our dream home. I highly recommend this place and would love to come back one day!

Country feel and homey decor

We arrived after dark, which the host was gracious about. Using the stove was tricky for us Americans. We learned, but charred the pizza the first night! Cute decor, laundry soap as well as a washer and dryer was most appreciated! We would stay here again!

Review of a Serene Irish Country Cottage

A Tranquil Retreat in the Heart of the Irish CountrysideThis beautiful Irish cottage, tucked away in an idyllic corner of the countryside, was the perfect tranquil escape. Finding the cottage was easy, and the property manager was exceptionally helpful and attentive. We particularly appreciated their communication when there was a break in the waterline, as she kept us updated as to when the water would be up and running again.The three bedrooms were well-appointed and cozy. We were especially thankful for the blackout shades, which were essential for a good night's sleep with the long Irish summer days. The spacious living area was comfortable and inviting, perfect for relaxing or playing one of the provided board games.Modern updates included sleek new kitchen cabinets and a spacious fridge, though the hob and oven were tricky to operate. The bathroom was bright, spacious, and modern, but the seal on the window needs repair. The grounds were neat and welcoming, but unfortunately, the weather didn't permit us to enjoy them.Overall, this is a fantastic choice for a peaceful and comfortable stay in the Irish countryside. The minor quirks were easily overlooked, and we would not hesitate to recommend it.

Frank and Viv met in college but after college went their separate ways. They reunited at a college reunion 25 years later and married in 2013. They live near Washington, DC in Kensington, Maryland. They first went to Ireland together in 2016 and kept going back. They purchased the house in 2019 from Frank's uncle and luckily Frank went over in early 2020 to get renovations started.. The work on the house thankfully proceeded even when they were not able to get back during the pandemic. They finally got back in 2021.They have been back a few times since then. They love being there and enjoying the peaceful quiet of the house. They particularly love sitting by the fire. They hope their guests enjoy the cottage as much as they do. They plan to spend large chunks of time visiting Ireland and traveling to Europe when they retire in a few years.
