Situated on a quiet corner lot with generous front, side and back yards and a sprawling second-story deck, the Redbud Holiday House provides the perfect vacation headquarters for indoor-outdoor living. Guests can spread out across six bedrooms, five of which have king beds and ensuite/private bathrooms. An additional family suite, located above the garage, offers a queen bed plus two full beds. Big enough to cook, eat and hang out in, the fully-stocked cook’s kitchen features an oversized island, wine fridge, pantry, and two ovens. The dining room provides a separate space for more formal group/family dinners around a large dining table. Despite offering ample spaces to spread out in, the living room – with its marble-surround fireplace and oversized comfy sofas – is a place to cozy up for conversation or watching TV. There’s even a beautifully outfitted basement family room with another fireplace, so groups can spread out. The kids can even have their own space to play or watch TV/movies.

Outside, play lawn games in the back, sit around a fire pit or waste away an evening from the adirondack chairs on the front porch. With three umbrellas and seating for seven, the second-floor deck faces Kalamazoo Lake and is absolutely perfect for watching the fireworks (which happen various times throughout the year).

A PERFECT LOCATION: The house is a mere two-minute stroll into downtown Douglas (full of restaurants, shops and craft beer); a 15-minute walk to downtown Saugatauk (more restaurants, shops, galleries, and wine bars); two blocks from the Kalamazoo River; and a quick drive from sugar-sand beaches of Lake Michigan, trails and dunes. The house is located across the street from a wonderful antique store (Upscale Mercantile) and art/wine gallery (J. Petter Galleries).
