Rénovation de la gare de Thoroughbred Horse Farm

Venez séjourner dans notre gare de 1890 récemment rénovée au cœur du pâturin.

Nous sommes dans une ferme de chevaux pur-sang en activité juste à côté de Paris Pike, l'une des zones les plus pittoresques de tout le centre du Kentucky. Conduisez par les fermes Gainsway et Elemendorf sur le chemin de la ferme Claiborne. À 15 minutes du Kentucky Horse Park, de Fasig Tipton, à proximité de Keeneland et des attractions de la région de Lexington.

La gare de Hutchison faisait partie du système ferroviaire L&N entre 1890-1950, elle a toujours les planchers de bois franc d'origine, les plafonds de 12 pieds et une grande partie de la moulure d'origine. À son apogée, il comprenait un bureau de poste, une plate-forme de chargement du bétail, un magasin général et un atelier de forgeron. Vous pouvez en savoir plus sur la gare dans «Ghost Railroads of Kentucky». Beaucoup de familles d'origine vivent toujours dans la région.
Les activités de la région incluent un parcours de golf de 9 trous à distance de marche et un court trajet en voiture de nombreux parcours de 18 trous, des visites de fermes équestres, des sites historiques tels que Shakertown, Mary Todd Lincoln House, Henry Clay Estate, les champs de bataille de la guerre civile et bien plus encore.
Nous avons un accès facile aux autoroutes I75 et I64 et sommes situés à mi-chemin entre Lexington et Paris.

Could not have loved this place more. The home was perfect for us. The location is excellent. A peaceful retreat but a close drive to all the area has to offer. We can’t wait to come back.

This is a very nice place to stay, with the interior being especially clean and updated, and the outdoors peaceful with a beautiful view. Both Steve and Lisa were exceptionally helpful and friendly, generously sharing their working farm with guests. We had no complaints and we highly recommend this property.

This property is simply amazing! The house is very cute, very clean and well-appointed. The grounds are beautiful! Seeing the mares and their babies every day was such a treat. Very close to downtown Lexington and also the cute little Main Street of Paris. Our host, Steve, was very friendly and answered all my questions promptly. We had no issues at all - I just asked him for some info on places to see, eat, etc. We had an amazing stay and I would love to stay again some time in the future.

Wow! What a wonderful place to stay to end our Kentucky trip! Exactly as the listing states. Getting up and close with the horses and the donkey’s were the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend to anyone!

This property is as described and we found the accommodation to be very cozy. The beds were very comfortable. And we LOVED feeding apples & carrots to the horses and donkeys each day. The check in was super easy. And the host very responsive. The internet was on the slow side, but the host mentioned faster service being worked on in the county and they should be connected soon. We were even greeted with a plate of homemade chocolate cookies which was a nice touch.

We surprised our horse loving daughter with a stay here and we were all blown away. This property was stunning inside and out. Definitely the cleanest rental I have ever been in. The horses were beautiful and the donkeys were so precious! Sadie and John George were my daughter's best friends while we were there and we were so sad to leave them! We will definitely be back!!

My teenage daughter and I stayed here for a week during spring break to visit university of Kentucky, lots of thoroughbred stud & mare farms, Keeneland, and Churchill Downs. It was a great place to come back to at the end of the day and just relax and look at the all of the horses in the fields- absolutely loved watching the mares with their foals and being greeted each time by the precious two donkeys that live just next to the house. Very peaceful location, perfect place to get to all of the other attractions we wanted to see. The house is just as beautiful as the pictures with a very tall ceilings and very clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. Easy check in and check out, and Steve even stopped by to say hey when we were “home”. A special added treat were the homemade chocolate chip cookies that greeted us after a 7 1/2 hour drive! Would absolutely stay there again and 100% recommend it!

Loved staying at this unique property with nearby horses and donkeys. The place was immaculate and spacious. Communication with the host was excellent. Location was perfect for tours of private horse farms, Keeneland Race Course and Woodford Reserve Distillery. Will stay here again if back in Lexington.

We loved our stay! The place was clean and comfortable, and peaceful. The only thing we missed was having a cookie sheet, because I like to make bacon in the oven. Steve was really nice to chat with, as I saw him out and about on the property a couple of times. I’d definitely stay again! Being a horse person, I loved the daily views and interactions with the mares and foals!

We stayed for our trip to Keeneland for opening weekend of horse racing! After a noisy day at the track it is so nice to come to this beautiful renovated train station to spend the night. It is so quiet and peaceful. Waking up and watching the beautiful horses in the field is definitely an added plus. Owners are amazing and I can’t recommend this gorgeous place highly enough. If you have children with you, the donkeys are super friendly and love peppermints!
