Relax with the whole family at this peaceful beach house getaway. The beach is only six houses away. You can literally walk there in 2 minutes. With the house at the end of the housing development, there are no neighbors behind you, and that means a less crowded beach as well. Sandy Pause is a great place to enjoy the views from the Ships Watch, relax in the jacuzzi room, or enjoy a meal in the screened in porch. Deck, swing, hammock, pool, and hot tub allows everyone to relax.

Guests have access to the whole house with the exception of three locked utility closets and the locked shed in the carport.

A great vacation beach destination, just a 2 minute walk away. This is a great family vacation spot with room and amenities for the whole family. centrally located to nearby shopping and dining.

There is no street parking, so make sure all vehicles are in the driveway or in front of the pool. The beach is a quick 2 minute walk. The tennis courts are a short walk. The main road has a bike/walking path that you could take to local food and shopping just 1.5 miles away in either direction.

Great family home /get away

We love Corolla and this house has all that an extended family needs. Great location, pool, hot tub, close to beach and tennis courts. Lots of outdoor space and good size bedrooms. Owner very personable and receptive. Totally worth the stay!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful week for our vacation. This home was great and had great amenities. The only issue was the stairs at the dunes.

Beach week

Property was clean, very easy walk to the beach with kids. Lots of extra chairs and beach equipment. Everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and the kids especially loved having their own outdoor dining area!

Great Stay at Sandy Pause

This house was PERFECT for our stay in the Outer Banks. The house was beautiful, clean, and fully stocked with everything we could have needed for our week long stay. The pool and hot were great after a long day at the beach. The walk to the beach was easy and the house is super close to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Everyone in our party said this was one of the most memorable vacations they’ve been on and we would all definitely stay here again!!

Family Fun Vacation Home

Loved our week at the beach with our 2 young families! Located in a private neighborhood with sand dune nature preserve behind the home and only 2 minute walk to the beach. You could arrive with nothing but your suitcase/groceries and have everything you need here! Plenty of beach chairs, towels, beach toys, games, movies, books, ping pong, fuseball, outdoor shower, heated pool, and hot tub. The owner, Jeff, communicates well and was easy to work with.

Perfect

We have been coming to Corolla for the last 5 years with our kids and this house has been the best house we have stayed in. The communication was amazing. We had a little issue with no being able to leave our trailer in the driveway while we were there but the host Jeff was amazing with taking care of getting a place for us to store it while we were there. Words can’t describe how pleased we were with our vacation this year. Will be returning to this house again.

Great house so close to the beach!

We had the greatest week at Sandy Pause. Jeff was a great host and super responsive. The house was perfect for our 2 families, and there were so many nice touches that made the vacation comfortable and carefree. Jeff provided chairs, towels, umbrellas, sand toys, pool toys, indoor games and movies, and so much more. All the light switches were labeled, which you wouldn’t think about until you need it, and it was so nice to have! Plenty of storage areas, and we loved the reading/sitting nook above the main family room area. The beach is not life guarded, and it’s never crowded either. We had no problem setting up a spot each day. We had a great vacation and would love to visit this community and house again.

I continue to work on the nuclear naval vessels as a civilian and enjoy raising my family and being able to come down and enjoy the house in the off season.

This is a nice area at the end of a neighborhood that backs up to undeveloped land behind the house. This helps with having a great view, less neighborhood traffic and less crowded beach!
