The lock box for the key was buried and frozen in the snow so it was hard to find and open. The parking lot didn’t get plowed so we couldn’t see the numbers to know where to park. The tv’s didn’t work no matter what we tried.All in all the place was cute and met the needs for our stay.

Convenient Location

I was attending a conference at the Donald Stephens Convention Center and this location was very convenient to both the event and numerous food/shopping options. Worked out very well and the property manager was easy to communicate with through the process.

The tub wasnt draining right, 1 out of 3 tvs worked, air conditioner didnt work the fan wasnt working when we tried to turn it on, smaller than the pictures showed and barley fit 8 it said and the couch wasnt a pull out couch.

Trip to Chicago

We were switched to another property as they had problems with the one we booked. It put us a little farther away from our event but was a bigger unit so that made up for it. The host was a great communicator and the property was very nice!

The property was not the same as the pictures- I think it was probably another unit in the same building because the decor matched, but there were some definite differences. Aside from that, overall the stay was nice. The condo was very cozy, and it was incredibly close to everything we wanted to do. The shared yard space in the back was nice. The condo is also located close to the airport which is convenient for anyone traveling that way.

Comfortable stay for the most part

We had a comfortable stay for the most part. Location was clean and comfortable. It’s central to a lot of what Rosemont has to offer. That was awesome. Communication with host was lagging.. upon arrival the toilet lever inside the tank cracked in half- we were able to jimmy rig it, told the host with no response. Was not given check out Instructions so we just did what we would’ve wanted someone to do at our house. Throw garbage away outside, wash dishes etc. other than that…. A bang for our buck!

Only 1 parking space in the actual building’s lot. We were able to find free parking without a time limit behind the Taco Bell that’s kitty corner to the condo’s lot. Only 1 of the 3 TVs worked and that one was hit or miss. Listing says it can sleep up to 8 people because of the “twin beds” in the common area. These “twin beds” are actually a reclining couch, not even a pull out couch. Most of the lamps didn’t work (we tried everything). While it is close to the convention center, it is definitely not a 10 minute walk. It’s closer to half an hour to walk, maybe 5 minute drive. Overall it was sufficient for our group’s needs, but some revisions need to be done to the listing to close the gap between expectations vs reality.

There was pros and cons to our stay. I did have to book this the day before because of another host taking off his property without informing anyone that we needed to find something else. However this host said it was okay and I’d hear something in the morn for check in. I heard nothing. Called and texted and was scared I wouldn’t have somewhere to go for my kids, I booked a hotel. I then heard from host at 1pm. Then to cancel the hotel, I lost hundreds of dollars. This is a 3rd floor apartment with stairs only. It was very quiet in the complex and area. The host did have to come to let me and my son out of the bedroom as the knob locked on us and was broken and thankfully I had my phone on me. She did answer then and I’m thankful for that! The tvs in the bedrooms did not work. So my 5 year old had to use my phone for tv/movies. The kitchen didn’t have any cookie sheets/pans. One skillet pan. I had to go buy aluminum ones to bake in the oven. The price for this place is way too high. The tub also clogged and we had to wait til it was down for another to shower. Only one parking spot per apartment also. I regretted not just keeping the hotel rooms I booked.

Located in a great area, close to the airport, easy to walk to places, including the amazing Stan’s donuts right across the street. Room is exactly as described, very clean well stocked for all of your needs. Just be forewarned, the shower takes a long time to drain. If I ever need to stay in Chicago again, this place is top of my list.
