Loft unit in Kiel close to Road America/Elkhart Lake

Perfect location to stay in the heart of downtown Kiel. Located upstairs in a beautifully restored historic building located on the main street in town. Relax and enjoy your stay with all of the amenities of home which include all new appliances as well as you will be able to walk to local dinning and nightlife attractions that Kiel has to offer. Less than a 10 minute drive to Elkhart Lake, Road America, 25-30 minute drive to Kohler, Sheboygan, etc and less than 1 hour to Milwaukee & Green Bay. I am not onsite but I am still local. Located in the middle of the main street in town, you can walk or drive to local eateries and night life. *** Please note. This unit is only accessible by stairs. It is a 120+ year old building so please don’t expect the perfection and amenities of new construction but, enjoy the history, uniqueness, and clean area to stay *** There is parking available at the back of the building but when loading and unloading your belongings, I would suggest street parking upfront to make it easier for you. You can also park on the street but watch for the signs. The city does not allow overnight parking and they will ticket you.

Kiel picnic

Came in to town for the kiel picnic. This was the perfect location for my needs. Very nice place, very clean and the host was wonderful!!

Cozy and comfortable

The apartment was clean and comfortable; perfect for a single traveler or couple. Great downtown location that has very good dining options within walking distance. Have a few more stays at this location and look forward to them!

Family visit

The loft is very clean and was a great home base for us as we were visiting family in the area. The host was very responsive and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. I gave the place an overall rating of a 5 because we thought it was a good value for the money and a nice place to stay but would note that the counter stools were too low for us to sit and use the counter and the couch was not very comfortable for both of us to sit on. If we had been staying shorter this would not have been an issue but since we stayed 5 days and spent quite a bit of time in the loft it would have been nice to have use of the counter as an eating space and to of had a more comfortable couch.

Enjoyable Stay

The apartment was very clean and new considering the age of the building. The appliances were new and the bed comfortable. For me, the stairs to the apartment were not an issue at all. It was a perfect space to enjoy the Kiel area. I would suggest adding a chair in the living area for more room and putting some type of latch on the bathroom door as it didn’t fully close and stay shut. Otherwise it was a great stay and I’d definitely come back.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

I bought this building because I loved the look and history of it. Being that it was built in 1900, possibly earlier, the beauty and history of the building drew me to it. Old photos in the local library show the downstairs spaces were once a barber shop and an ice cream shop with the living quarters up stairs. I spent over a year remodeling the interior while helping to revive the main street community of Kiel.
