Perfect for a crowd

We loved our week here. We brought our three sons and two of their friends along and everyone had plenty of space and privacy. It was perfect.

Classic Angel Fire

This cabin is the perfect example of an Angel Fire mountain cabin. Homey and guest and pet friendly. All three couple are planning to rent it again next year.

Perfect location

Loved this house. The location is perfect- view of Wheeler Peak from the deck, walking distance to great hiking trails, tons of wildlife; bears, deer, hummingbirds, and chipmunks. Great set up for our doggies. Has everything we needed for cooking and dining. Such a great, cozy house. We didn’t want to leave.

Excellent

Excellent stay - the only feedback i have is regarding a broom, blower, garage - it would have been nice to be able to clean the steps and patios and put car in garage since snoopy likes to get familiar with cars and climb up the stairs.

Ski Trip

Clean, accessible, close to the ski resort, and easy to check-in and check-out. Comfortable beds and good showers. Given the rental price and how many people it sleeps, all in all, this is a very good value, but, giving four (4) stars because of the older heating system. One of the bedrooms gets really hot and dry (the heating unit is by the bed), while the basement gets really cold (note: we traveled in the winter time). One has to keep the bedroom doors open at all time to make the temperatures more even across the cabin.

Piney Wood Lodge was perfect for our family of 5 (all adults) and pets. The fenced back yard was perfect for the pets. We all enjoyed time on the deck, by the fire pit in the back yard, and inside as well for meals and board games. It's a very nice area/location for walks in the woods, an easy stroll to Monte Verde Lake, and a short drive into Angel Fire for supplies or a meal out. We also enjoyed short drives into Red River and Taos. The management company was very responsive and prompt in dealing with a small problem with a tripped circuit breaker that was not accessible. They immediately dispatched a very nice person from their office with a key...problem solved. We had a great time and highly recommend this property.

We had a great 4th of July weekend at this property. It was impeccably clean and as advertised. The property is about a 10 minute drive to the Monte Verde lake. The only criticism I have is that the home needs some TLC. The deck was in rough shape with loose boards and nail protruding from the center pieces. The window screens also contained several holes and gaps, which let in small bugs during the evening. All in all, a great place for a short stay.
