Lakefront cottage with a private beach and dock

Stargazer Cabin is a modern, thoughtfully renovated lakefront home on pristine Lake Naomi, set on the historic site of a former sailing camp for girls.

Begin your day surrounded by nature on the private master suite porch. Or stroll down the fern-lined path—coffee in hand—to the dock to watch the stunning sunrise over the water. Spend your day lounging in the hammock on the sandy beach or reading on the dock. Grab a paddle and head out on the water in one of the kayaks, SUPs or the big red canoe. Enjoy dinner with family and friends on the screened-in porch, and spend your evening under the stars around the lakeside fire pit or in the family room by the fireplace.

The home features an open floor plan on the main floor, all the modern kitchen appliances you need including dual ovens and an induction cooktop, two grills (gas and charcoal), a den with day-bed and beverage fridge, a breakfast nook, a coffee/tea/cocca bar (with Keurig), a powder room, and a washer/dryer.

A spiral staircase leads to the three second-floor bedrooms and two baths—a master with a walk-in shower, the other with a full shower/tub.

All linens, blankets, and towels are provided.

The cottage is also well appointed with the latest technology, featuring 1.2GB wifi, digital keypad entry, three smart televisions, Sonos and Amazon streaming music speakers, wireless phone chargers, and digital safety and comfort systems.

As Lake Naomi Club members, we are able to help provide Temporary Member passes to for a limited number of guests for an additional fee (payable directly to the club). The Club offers seven sand beaches, a beach club, three pools, a fitness center, two clubhouse restaurants, 18 soft surface tennis courts, a golf course, boat rentals, and year-round events. Be respectful of our wonderful neighbors. All outdoor noise after 10pm should be kept to a minimum. Fireworks not allowed.

Place bagged trash in the bear-proof rolling bin, UNBAGGED recycling in the blue cans in the protective wood trash shelter (close lid due to bears).

We just returned from the most relaxing weekend at Stargazer. I’ll start by saying the house was so well appointed, there was nothing that wasn’t thought of from a selection of coffee makers, to cozy blankets for an early morning on the dock to comfy robes in the primary bathroom. And speaking of the primary room, the view was amazing and the deck with the swing chair was perfect for an evening cocktail. Kayaking and the option of a canoe, bikes and fishing all made for perfect daytime activities. We loved our stay and will definitely return!

We had the best family vacation at the star gazer cabin! Jim instantly answered any questions we had about the house and was always very generous. The house itself was warm and cozy and beautifully decorated. The upstairs porch with the hammock was a major highlight - each of us took turns relaxing there. Staying on the water was incredible. Kayaking was lots of fun and the fire pit and s’mores were a big hit with our girls. Without a doubt we will return! Thank you to Jim and family for your incredible hospitality.

Fall Getaway

Our group was beyond pleased with our stay! The home is beautiful, well stocked with all the necessities. The bedrooms were perfect, and the main floor common area provided the perfect space for conversation and connection. We took advantage of the beautiful weather to kayak, canoe, enjoy a fire and take a long walk. Highly recommend!!

Our stay at the Stargazer cabin was absolutely magical! The property was beautiful. it was very clean, accommodating and had direct private access to the lake. The owners were fantastic and provided everything we needed and responded to our questions quickly. This will definitely be a destination for our family each year. Highly recommended!

Lakefront super relaxed vibe

Lovely cottage, lakefront on Lake Naomi. Property has updated interiors and modern tech, super comfortable vibe. Spacious porches on both levels, short wooded path to lakefront hangout, and lake access. A quick drive to Pocono Summit retail for anything you need, but Lake Naomi feels like a million miles away from all that... Property owner an excellent communicator/very easy to work with. Would definitely visit again!

Long Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Stargazer Cabin. The cabin had everything we needed. Stocked kitchen, towels, linens, comfortable furniture, and the best of all.... the views! While we were there it snowed, which left breathtaking views from both the upstairs and downstairs decks. We even had coffee next to the lake as we soaked in the beautiful sunny views in two Adirondack chairs. The host was amazing & answered every question we had about the property prior to our arrival. The check in/out process was a breeze. We can't wait to return!

Fabulous Trip

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay at this lovely lakefront cottage. It was so comfortable and light with a delightful fine gravel pathway to the new dock. We enjoyed relaxing in the chairs overlooking Lake Naomi as well as kayaking, canoeing and swimming in the temperate lake water. We enjoyed using the fire pit at lakeside as well. The screened-in porch was perfect for enjoying evening dinners. It was also a great bonus to have the opportunity to join the Lake Naomi Club as a temporary member and use their facilities which include a fitness center, pools as well as sailing sunfishes. The owner of the home was so helpful in confirming the entrance code to the home and being very responsive to any questions we had. The owner takes great care of his home and was happy to know how much we enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend spending your vacation in this lovely cottage surrounded by such a peaceful and relaxing setting.

My wife, kids, and I were introduced to Lake Naomi by a family friend who grew up here. We immediately fell in love, and stayed a few homes in the area before discovering this rare gem. When it came up for sale in 2022, we took the plunge, and now we look forward to offering it others so they can discover those same joys we found.

Lake Naomi is a special place. Private, serene, surrounded by nature and good people. It is on one the state’s largest private lakes, with no gas-powered watercraft allowed. We are less than two hours’ drive from both Philadelphia and New York City.

Stargazer Cottage is located on the Northern Shore of Lake Naomi, the site of Camp Owaissa, a camp for girls that operated every summer from 1916 until 1966. Its southern exposure means you'll be witness to the sunrise and sunset no matter the season, whether you're coming for a summer vacation, a weekend getaway to view the fall foliage, or a family ski trip in the winter.

Among the many amenities we offer are waterfront activities, including a canoe, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. With a lakefront beach, firepit, hammock, and dock, you'll want to spend all day in the great outdoors. Two Breezer bikes w/helmets are available for rides to the local Jubilee restaurant for breakfast or the Junction for ice cream, or BBQ at home with one of two grills and our screened-in porch. Coffee and tea are available in our modern kitchen stocked with all the appliances and utensils you'll need. The master suite provides its own stunning views, with a private deck overlooking the property/lake.

We are 15 minutes from three of Pennsylvania’s top ski resorts, several water parks, outlet shopping, and Pocono Raceway. The resort towns of Jim Thorpe and East Stroudsburg are nearby, as well as Delaware Water Gap and Hickory Run State Park, offering some of the best outdoor activities in the Northeast.

We are able to obtain Temporary Member passes to the private Lake Naomi Club for a limited number of week-long guests (for an additional fee). The Club offers seven sand beaches, a beach club, three pools, a fitness center, two clubhouse restaurants, 18 soft surface tennis courts, a golf course, boat rentals, and year-round events.
