Escape to a peaceful retreat at Elk Island at River Run, a stunning 5-bedroom home nestled on 3+ acres within the private River Run gated community. This beautifully appointed home provides convenient access to the Elk River.

Prime Location & Outdoor Adventures:
Elk Island offers an ideal location, less than 10 minutes from downtown Banner Elk, 15 minutes from Wilderness Run Alpine Adventure Park, and 20 minutes from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Within the community, you can enjoy catch-and-release fishing or a peaceful picnic by the Elk River. Please note that fishing permits are required, and you'll need to bring your own equipment.

Exceptional Amenities:
Guests will appreciate the convenience of a 3-car garage and ample driveway parking.

Inside, the spacious and well-equipped kitchen features granite counters, stainless steel appliances, a double island, a pot filler over the 6-burner gas range, a large copper sink, and a beverage cooler. The adjacent dining room comfortably seats eight, with four additional seats available at the kitchen bars.
The main level living area provides a cozy ambiance with a remote-controlled stone gas log fireplace and serene mountain views.

Comfortable Accommodations:
The main-level primary bedroom offers a private deck entrance, a ceiling fan, and a TV. It includes a large walk-in closet and a luxurious master bathroom with two custom copper sinks, an oversized walk-in shower, and a jetted tub. For your convenience, blow-dryers are provided in each bathroom.

The upstairs loft is perfect for board games or puzzles and includes two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The second bedroom has two twin beds, and the third has a queen-sized bed. Each bedroom, along with the loft and lower level living area, is equipped with Roku TVs for streaming your favorite shows.

The lower level is where the fun begins, featuring a 75” flatscreen TV with Bose speakers, a Prince competition-size Ping Pong table, two retro arcade games (a two-person Pac-Man glass-top game and a single-player stand-up multi-game console with dozens of game options), a foosball table, Cornhole, and oversized Jenga. On this level, the fourth bedroom has two twin beds, and the fifth has a queen bed with deck access. A shared full-size bathroom with a tub/shower combo is also available.

Outdoor Enjoyment:
Evenings can be spent relaxing around the stone firepit in Adirondack chairs, perfect for roasting marshmallows. Or enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck while taking in the cool mountain air.

Important Notes:
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- Kitchen & Starter Supplies: Our homes offer well-stocked kitchens with all necessary utensils. A "starter set" of paper products and toiletries (toilet paper, garbage bags, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher detergent, laundry pods, paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and makeup remover cloths) is provided for 1-2 nights.
- Towels and linens are provided for you.
- Road Access: Elk Island is accessed by a road that transitions from paved to gravel, leading to a large, paved parking area. A 4WD vehicle will be necessary in the winter months from November to April, and chains may be needed during inclement weather.
- Community Rules: This home is in a quiet, gated community with full-time residents. RVs and trailers are not permitted, and a strict 15-mph speed limit is enforced on gravel roads.
- River Run Fishing Access: Guests have access to the community fishing area in the Elk River. All fishing is catch & release only.
- Firewood: Firewood for the outdoor firepit can be purchased for $25 per day (2 bundles and 1 fire starter log) with a minimum of 7 days' advance notice.
- Pet Policy: This home allows up to 2 mature, trained dogs for an additional rent of $25 per night per pet plus taxes.
- Security Cameras: The homeowner uses three exterior security cameras for safety: #1 on the left side of the garage pointed toward the driveway, #2 on the right side of the home attached to the roof pointed toward the yard and driveway entrance, and #3 on the backside of the home. No cameras are located inside.
- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.

-Cancellation Policy:
Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled within 59 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked by another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

some small details, but it is very important.

I had problems entering the condominium, the entrance number doesn't match. Can anyone give me the correct number? A resident gave me the gate code. The street to go up is in very bad shape. It was in terrible condition. There was even a Luiz cable on the street. When I got to the house, I couldn't open the door for 30 minutes. My children died of cold. After I managed to get into the house, the house wasn't cleaned. We had to clean it. The towels and bed linens were dirty. But that's okay, everything was fine. The house is perfect. Everything is very beautiful. Congratulations to the owners. But they just need to improve the maintenance of the street and the cleaning. Everyone will be fine. Thank you.
