"Casa Coyote" 4300 vues et destination de vacances pour des centaines de voyageurs. Nous sommes membres à succès de Homeaway / VRBO depuis plus de 14 ans !!!! et ont ouvert nos portes aux locataires de maisons de vacances depuis plus de 27 ans.

Casa Coyote est une maison Adobe personnalisée conçue par un architecte et un artiste local. Il est situé dans la communauté unique de Los Altos, à 1,6 km du village d'Arroyo Seco. Idéalement situé au large de la route de la vallée de ski à mi-chemin entre Taos et Taos Ski Valley. En hiver, les clients peuvent profiter d'être près de l'avant de la ligne de circulation de ski.

Casa Coyote est une authentique maison en adobe qui rappelle le style architectural de Taos des années passées. Il offre une magnifique vue dégagée sur la montagne depuis son spacieux salon en contrebas, sa salle à manger et sa chambre principale. En tant que maison privée d'architecte, la Casa Coyote présente de nombreux détails traditionnels, des meubles de style sud-ouest, une belle cuisine ouverte entièrement équipée avec des armoires personnalisées et un chauffage au sol rayonnant. Casa Coyote a également des plafonds en bois de 10 pieds et 11 pieds avec des vigas (poutres taillées à la main), des portes personnalisées de 8 pieds de haut et deux cheminées traditionnelles en kiva adobe. Deux cours privées sont prévues pour le plaisir du client. L'une des cours possède un bar-b-que, une table à manger et un spa privé avec vue sur la montagne.

Casa Coyote a un merveilleux gardien qui est disponible pour répondre à toutes les questions et aider avec la propriété. Il y a un manuel d'instructions dans la maison qui explique les caractéristiques de cette maison unique.

Los Altos Clubhouse avec piscine intérieure chauffée est disponible toute l'année. Il dispose également d'un salon, de salles de bains et d'un court de tennis / basket-ball extérieur.

Commodités: Les commodités de Casa Coyote comprennent une cuisine bien équipée avec micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle, cuisinière, réfrigérateur spacieux et ustensiles de cuisine. Linge de maison, savon et TP sont également fournis. Hors de la cuisine est une buanderie séparée avec une laveuse et une sécheuse. Il y a aussi une cour hors de la salle à manger avec une table, un bar à gaz et un spa privé pour 6 personnes avec vue sur les montagnes. Un patio privé hors de deux chambres a un petit jardin et une table. Pour le divertissement: 3 magnétoscopes, 3 téléviseurs, lecteur DVD, CD, stéréo et TV satellite. WIFI et téléphone avec appels illimités aux États-Unis sont également fournis.

Le village d'Arroyo Seco, idéalement situé à 1,6 km, rappelle une époque révolue. Il a été réglé pour la première fois en 1804. Seco (son nom local) possède de nombreux petits magasins spécialisés du sud-ouest, de merveilleux cafés / restaurants et services. Beaucoup de ces boutiques présentent des œuvres d'artistes et d'artisans locaux.

Loved the hot tub and sunsets. Close to some very good restaurants and an easy, beautiful ride to the heart of Taos! The caretaker Nancy went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and communication with host was swift and easy. We loved this place!

The pictures of the view do not do it justice. Our favorite was the view at sunset from the hot tub. Great location to skiing, hiking and shopping.

Peaceful setting/stunning views

We rode a Harley Davidson motorcycle from California to Casa Coyote, in New Mexico, the owners were very responsive/tentative, as they allowed us to park the motorcycle in the garage, some VRBO's don't permit this. The scenery is very serene, neighborhood extremely quiet, the Adobe home very clean, with a new hot tub. Just bring your own condiments. Property manager very nice, however, did not respond to calls/texts, so if needed, contact owners directly, they are really terrific & will make sure any needs/concerns are taken care of.

Comfortable weekend getaway

Really loved this property, so clean and many unique touches. Definitely enjoyed the hot tub after skiing. The house has so much light, and we loved the views of the open spaces. Appreciated the garage to park in overnight.Only minor con, only queen bed in the main bedroom. We would have been more comfortable if the bed was a king. We didn't really cook, so can't speak about the kitchen. We did take advantage of nearby restaurants.

Catching up!

Six of us met in the middle in this lovely home to catch up with each other. We very much enjoyed the comforts of the home and the beauty of the area. It was very clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen for cooking all our meals there. Great memories that will last our lifetimes. Thank you!

What a view!!!

What a great view from the couch. We enjoyed watching the prairie dogs in the back yard. The stars and full moon were awesome when sitting in the hot tub or even on the back porch. But, didn’t like the mouse running around the kitchen on our last night. We never got to the pool but it looked great. I did have to ask for the code to the lockbox instead of getting it sent to us prior to our arrival. I found it weird that I had to verify my address with the host when messaging through the app. The TVs were not working but the manager quickly came over to get them repaired.

Hot tub with view of mountains!

The best part about this adobe was the view of the mountains from the hot tub!! The house had some bugs-nothing big, but small spiders, ants and some moths. Be aware that this house has no air conditioning, and no ceiling fans but plenty of picture windows so it really heats up in 90-100 degrees. If you are going to shower, do it early in the day. Also, the outdoor patio/yard is very overgrown, and the prairie dogs, while cute, are encroaching into the yard. The tennis court and pool area are nice.

We work hard so that the Guests can have the best possible stay and we really appreciate suggestions on how we can improve. Communication is very important. We have a comprehensive Information Book in the house that explains the unique features of Casa Coyote. It encourages the Guests to keep the window coverings closed on the east side in the morning to avoid the sun that comes over the mountains from heating the house. The windows can be opened at night to let in the cool mountain breezes. There are portable fans in the rooms so the Guest can direct the air flow. I always encourage every Guest to contact the caretaker if they have any questions or need help. She lives in the area, is available and looks forward to meeting the Guests and taking care of their concerns. Making sure that Guests are comfortable is an important part of her job. Every Guest also has my personal contact information.

Very disappointed

The house looks beautiful in the pictures but when we arrived it was quite different. The home has a beautiful layout and is unique, but it's in need of updates, painting, and repairs. The yard was very unkempt and overgrown, so much so that it made the house look abandoned. The caretaker drove up a few minutes after we got there and had no idea we were set for an early check in. There was no air conditioning, which we were unaware of. We did follow the instructions in the book to keep all the shades pulled down and run the fans, but it was still uncomfortably hot in the house. The view on the back off the house is amazing, but with all the shades pulled down you can't really enjoy it. Once we got into the kitchen and started unloading groceries I noticed mouse poop on the kitchen counters and sink, and in cabinets on a lot of the dishes. I texted the caretaker immediately and it took the her several hours and a 2nd text to come clean the counters. She also brought mouse traps and 2 mice were caught that night. There were bugs everywhere, especially spiders. We killed probably 7-10 spiders a day in the house. There were also ants in the master bathtub every day. The bugs were a major issue for us. It made us all uncomfortable. I did not feel safe letting my children play in the yard. It was so overgrown and we were worried about snakes. We were also told to not go outside at night because bears and coyotes do come down from the mountains sometimes. The twin spare bedroom has no drawer space for clothing. There is a large closet where you can hang clothes, but no where to put folded clothes, underwear, socks, etc. The master bedroom has a dresser with 2 drawers on the bottom for folded clothes, but the drawers are very flimsy and fall out easily. The house has satellite TV, but it is very grainy. There is no streaming TV at the house, and the TV in the twin room is at least 25 years old. We had to go buy a Roku at the local Walmart in order to watch TV and enjoy it. The master bed is hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. I was so excited about this house before we arrived, and I really tried hard to make the best of it. But we could not wait to leave and go home.

Thank you for your remarks. We strive to make Casa Coyote better for the guests. Three things I would like future guests to know. 1. Casa Coyote is near the Carson National Forest and bears do come down into the neighborhood. It is important to keep trash inside the house/garage so as not to attract the bears. Coyotes are natural to the area and are mostly very wary of people. 2. The house, like almost all of the other houses in the area, does not have air conditioning. The window covering on the east side of the house can be kept closed in the morning to help the house from heating up from the sun. They can be opened after the sun goes to the other side of the house. The windows can be opened in the evening to let in the cool air and closed during the day to keep in the cooler air. Fans are provided for guest comfort. 3. Casa Coyote is in a rural area where there are a lot of mice outside. The guests should take care not to leave the doors and garage door open. The caretaker thoroughly cleans the house and if she sees mouse droppings she puts out mouse traps. If the house is vacant for a couple of days she puts out mouse traps. She removes the mouse traps before the guests arrive. We are getting foam mattress toppers for the queen beds. They should be softer than the two thick mattress pads that we had on the beds. The TVs are presently working fine. If a TV is not working properly the guest should call the caretaker for help. Sometimes previous guests attach their own equipment and do not put the cables back properly. An additional Roku is not needed. There are three smart tvs in the house. One in the living room with satellite tv and wifi , one in the Master bedroom with satelite tv and wifi, and one in the middle bedroom with wifi. All three TV's are capable of streaming. The tv in the twin bed bedroom is provided for gaming only. There are shelves in the nice sized master bedroom walk- in closet for folded clothes. We have an exterminator spray for bugs a couple times a year and as needed. We do not have him spray when guests are in the house to protect their health. Keeping the door closed will also help keep out the bugs.

Stayed at Casa Coyote for 3 nights recently. The house has all the necessities, and the location is great. Future renters should be aware that this is not a luxury property. It is rather basic and definitely in need of some upgrade and maintenance. The kitchen, the second bedroom and bathroom, and both of the patios definitely need work. There is also a pest problem (spiders and ants) which we informed the caretaker about.

Epic ski weekend

Early March Taos ski trip. Wonderful place halfway between Taos ski resort and Taos town. 26 min to Taos skiing, 4 min to arroyo Seco little town, and 20 min to town of Taos. Clean, great hot tub, warm heated tile flooring. Garage so didn’t have to scrape off car in AM. Didn’t cook at all but kitchen looked well stocked. Bedrooms great - simple, comfortable, clean.

Casa Coyote Family Vacation

We were welcomed with a wave to a clean house nicely appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The kids had fun at the pool tennis courts and exploring the Arroyo Seco area. Cozy home with high ceilings pretty tiled bathrooms with master soaking tub and 2 custom fire places. We enjoyed the patios hot tub and large picture windows with beautiful mountain views! Wonderful place to relax thank you we enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful and relaxing stay in Taos

We absolutely loved spending a few days in Arroyo Seco. The property was beautiful and well maintained, and we had amazing views of the mountains on one side and the valley on the other. The town of Arroyo Seco is only a few minutes from the property, and Taos proper is a short 20 minute drive away. The perfect place for a staycation away from the hustle and bustle.

Lovely home with a picture perfect view of the mountains.

Quiet, great location that is just a short drive to the artsy little village of Arroyo Seco and awesome hiking trails along Rt. 150. Taos is just a 15 minute drive so in non-COVID times, this home will be close to all the restaurants and shops of the city. During COVID times, it was a needed retreat after months and months of hard work and social isolation and lack of engagement with nature. The property owners never failed to be responsive to any questions or concerns we had.
