Completely remodeled and upgraded cozy cottage on 2.25 acres in the Arapaho National Forest. There's a cute little bonus shed for private, late-night conversations or a "getaway from your getaway". Relax with 360 degree mountain views and a creek flowing right through the property!
Start hiking or climbing right out your door, or on any of the trails in this small, private community. Located between Idaho Springs and Georgetown, there are nearby breweries, restaurants, and unique shops, as well as skiing, hiking, biking, ziplining, and more. (15% "Chickadee" discount exclusively for our guests at Mountain Mamas' Needful Things in Georgetown).
Also nearby … fox, coyote, bear, elk, deer, moose, bighorn sheep, pine marten, AND MORE.

This is 3rd time staying at the Chickadee, and it was just as pleasant as the others. We love how cozy it is; perfect jumping off point for a few days skiing at Loveland. We'll be back next year.

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is so cute and every detail is great. The style of the interior is so charming and the setting is beautiful. I especially loved the sounds of the creek nearby. We found it to be a great rental with our toddler as well.

This cabin was wonderful—we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. It’s beautifully decorated, very well appointed, and in a perfect location with easy access to everything. The lovely bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we slept so well. The backyard was absolutely sublime—peaceful and relaxing. Diane was a fantastic host, always responsive and helpful. We would love to stay in this piece of heaven again!

We really enjoyed this cute and vintage feel cabin. The bed was comfortable and the location provided the right amount of solitude while still being not far from town. Hosts were easy to communicate with.
