à propos de cet hébergement
Centrally Located near everything the Black Hills has to offer! Open year round!
These 13 cabins are centrally located to everything the Black Hills has to offer!
We are just 2 miles from Pactola lake, located along Hwy 385, pavement the entire way with only a short gravel drive to the cabins.
Our cabins are modern and have tasteful finishes. Decorated in the genre of wildlife, Black Hills history and Native American traditions of the local area. We have used locally sourced materials in our building as well as highlighting local artists in our decor. Each master bed is covered with an authentic handmade Native American star quilt. All cabins have heating and air conditioning.
Spend your days visiting historic landmarks, quaint Hills towns, or parks and lakes, then come back to your cabin to rest and relax by our large campfire site. As you sit out and enjoy the campfire, you can see the stars with no light pollution. Depending on the time of year you can hear the owls calling to one another, hear the singing of the coyotes, the bugling of the elk, or listen to the turkey as they get ready to roost. Our cabins help you to enjoy the action-packed days of your vacation even more by giving you a place to come and relax and enjoy nature at the end of your day.
Our cabin specifics are:
420sqft studio cabin w/loft.
Naturally well-lit, spacious open floor plan, 3 beds/1 bath.
Main floor has 1 plush high quality queen bed and linens, small table and 6 chairs, and a smart tv with Blu-ray player and DVDs. We also have a collection of books and board games if that is more your speed! Each cabin has free Wi-Fi, and excellent cell reception for Verizon customers. PLEASE NOTE: no cable or satellite available.
Also on the main floor, the kitchen is equipped with full size appliances, utensils, dishes, and cookware. Bring your groceries and prepare your own meals! Some food items such as basic condiments and seasonings, Folgers coffee and a variety of teas are provided. Memorial Weekend-Mid September we also include 1/2 dozen fresh eggs from our chickens in your cabin fridge.
The roomy 8' x 8' main floor bathroom is well lit and has a shower, sink and toilet. Also included are hair dryer, full length mirror, quality towels and common hotel amenities.
The 8' x16' loft has 2 queen mattresses on the carpeted floor. The head room of the loft goes to 5ft in the peaked center. This area is the perfect space for children & teenagers! Please note: loft staircase is steep and narrow, not recommended for very young children or elderly. Please see pictures in this listing.
The outdoor area has a large fire pit with seating, propane grill, picnic tables, and toys & yard games. We provide firewood and smores free of charge!
Deer Creek Homestead operates on 6 acres just a short walk from the cabins. If you are interested in any of the animals or workings of a small hobby farm, please ask! Tours are available most evenings.
For your convivence we offer 7lb bags of ice, farm goods, and a variety of frozen foods for purchase in case you need something to snack on in a pinch and don't want to run into town. We can also deliver beer to your cabin with proper ID.

Ă propos de lâhĂŽte
HÎte : Sarah Sutton
Campfire Cabins is proudly owned by Albert & Sarah Sutton. We grew up in the Black Hills. We were high school sweethearts and married after graduation. We then moved to Rapid City for work. 25 years and 6 children later we had the opportunity to purchase land and move back to the Black Hills. We soon realized how much we had missed the beauty and serenity of the local area.
We decided to turn our property into an organic hobby farm with a large greenhouse, chickens, bees, ducks & turkeys, milking goats, and a handful of beef cows. We also decided to build cabins near our home to share with other families wanting to experience all the Black Hills have to offer. With 2 children still at home, we own and operate the cabins as family business. We look forward to getting to know you and be an added blessing to your vacation experience!

Voici pourquoi lâhĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement
We believe family is important, and we want to give your family a memorable vacation!
We know how stressful it can be on everyone stuck in a car all day. Once you get here there is plenty of room for your kiddos to run around, play ball, and have a water fight on the front lawn while you take a breather and unpack. There are toys, games, books, and movies for them to use. Grab a drink and have a seat on the front porch and just enjoy their energy and happiness :)
Our cabins have a full-sized kitchen for you to prepare and cook snacks & meals. There is a small dining table inside each cabin and picnic tables and chairs outside for you to sit around and enjoy the togetherness of a meal and conversation.
With 6 children of our own, we know how expensive travel can be! Vacations don't have to be costly or "flashy". Kids will remember the TIME and EXPERIENCES you give them. They will remember bottle feeding calves up in the Sutton's barn and playing with the baby rabbits. They will remember the days you spent hiking, boating, or ATVing with them outdoors. They will remember the other kids they met at the campfire and the smores! They will remember playing soccer, beanbags, or flashlight tag with those same new friends while you get a chance to relax around the campfire and visit with other families from around the country. Want to know which trails are the best? Ask the other grandparents & parents who have already hiked/rode them! What is the best scenic drive? Is the pontoon boat or ATV rental worth it? Where are the best restaurants? Everyone is willing to help you out & share their experiences.
We (Al & Sarah) live on the property and are always available to answer your questions. Feel free to call or message us anytime! We are down at the campfire most nights, so come down and introduce yourselves! Smores are on us!!
