Very Unsatisfied *Beware*
We arrived at our home at the designated time of check in at 3PM. We walk in to discover a filthy home filled with dirty towels, beds, dishes, and a smell of cigarette smoke. To summarize - a cleaning service had not been done. I call Tahoe Keys Rentals and they inform me they hadn’t had a cleaning service come out due to a bigger house being dirty and taking more time. Hours pass by, we still have our luggage in our vehicles, and finally can go to the home where it was supposed to be “clean” at 7PM. After arriving at the home, it looked better, but as time went on we were startled by our findings. The utensils were thrown in the drawer still wet. There was still egg on one of the pans. The shower door in the master had fallen on my father and he had to fix it. Not to mention, his shower had definitely not been scrubbed. I wake up after being there one night and get a good look at my comforter, a brown crusty substance. (I mean, that’s got to be someone’s worst nightmare in a rental, DIRTY BEDDING) The hot tub had many issues with the jets, etc. and was dirty. At this point, I am fed up. Tahoe Keys had issued us a refund of one night, which at the time was understandable for our late check in of 7PM! But after finding the place was still filthy even after being “cleaned”, we thought it’d be fare to receive reimbursement of the cleaning fee. We since then have not even received a call back from their “president”, not even an apology! We made our time in Tahoe the best we could, but in a home with many issues and it made it hard to feel comfortable. Be careful when booking and make sure expectations can be met.
