Family Christmas Trip

Very nice house in a great location. Large and spacious. Burnet was very accommodating. We will definitely return.

Owner was a NO SHOW!!

No response from owner after full payment made. No check in instructions given. We were not able to get in touch with owner ourselves or when VRBO tried 2 hours after our check in time. Our 8 person party was left trying to find other accommodations at the last minute. We found a perfect place on our own.

We ran from a very bad Hurricane and the home provided us with a safe place to hunker down!! We never had a doubt about our location.

Can do better.

Can do without the ants. Need to fix the lack of air conditioning in the master bedroom. Pool looked suspect so i bypassed it.

Golf Getaway

We did almost all cooking at the house and were disappointed in the lack of utensils -- there was no can opener, wine opener nor salt and pepper shakers. There was barely enough dishes, cups and glasses for four people. The quality of the cooking pans left a lot to be desired.Most disappointing of all was not being able to use the spa. The property listing clearly shows a spa yet when the owner was asked where the instructions were to turn it on we were told that there was no spa agreement in the rental. The need for a spa rental was not covered in the listing at all. This is very misleading and should be corrected and the picture of the spa removed.The internet information - name and password should be added to the instruction sheet from the owner.

Looking for a home

We stayed here for a spur of a moment trip to look for a home in Florida. The host of the home was wonderful, very attentive and responsive. The home was large enough for our family of 5 and more. However, it was not as clean as other homes we have stayed in. There were dead bugs in the corners of the rooms and under furniture. The couch in the main room was falling apart (but the host did say he was replacing). It was a good place to stay for what we needed to do. We drove to Winter Garden, Lake Mary, and sanford which were all in a 25 min drive.

Condensed to fit-there’s more. Sent the following & more to VRBO w/ pics. Dead bugs & 20+ in master shower, pool lights not working, pool lanai w/several missing/damaged screens-pool can’t stay clean, ice maker broken, freezer works occasionally, IMPORTANT: 5 smoke detectors – only 2 w/covers. 2 missing covers w/wires hanging, 1 has cover hanging by wires, MULTIPLE LARGE stains on BR carpets (wish cld post pics), missing pieces of vertical blinds, 9 bulbs not working, no toilet plunger for any of 3 baths, 12 hangers total for 4 BRs, used bars of soap in all baths–was mentioned in 2023 review by another guest – see that review, BRs only had decorative sham pillows – no regular pillows except master, no WIFI info, had Netflix 2 nights then owner turned off, only 1 spare toilet paper total for 4 baths, Âœ roll of paper towels (no spares), stove top dirty, Jack & Jill mirror dirty, no access code rec’d until 80 minutes prior to check-in, called on arrival w/problems, texted pics–no apologies–said they’d fix problem areas for next renters (what about us?), electrical outlet in spare BR damaged & has piece missing that’s hanging (kids could put a finger in it). TO OWNER: before saying the above isn’t true as was the response to the guest review in 2023, feel free to ask me for pictures – I have them & so does VRBO. The home as a whole is very nice. I would recommend a cleaning service (or different one). With a little elbow grease, it would be great.

Stay away. I try not to leave a bad review unless it’s truly warranted.

I attend an annual conference in Apopka, Florida in the spring time and instead of staying in my usual hotel, we decided to make this our first family vacation after 4 years. This home seemed to suit our needs but I was wary when there were no reviews. I became even more skeptical after booking when I saw two new reviews that seemed to be the complete opposite of each other. I believe the host does make some attempt to seem welcoming and friendly. But upon my arrival, I found Burnett and a woman with a windex bottle and the garage (which we would later not have access to) wide open. My mom in law is highly sensitive cleanliness wise and has allergies. The owner assured me at least twice before my arrival that the house would surpass my expectations. This was not the case. As soon as I walked into the home, I did find dead bugs in the corner of the baseboards and general dirt / sand like material all over the tile as I walked. I could not locate the vacuum at the time (which is much too bulky to use on tile anyways as I would later find) so I had to sweep all the living spaces where there is tile as soon as I arrived; I didn’t even get to bring in my suitcase after a long 3 hour drive. We were greeted with nearly empty bottles (think 0.25 ounces left!!!) of dish soap, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, and the laundry detergent was also almost done. We found an OPEN box of pasta and two old old old looking bags of coffee. The coffee machine was in the pantry. There were enough trash bags to last our stay but we were stuck purchasing the aforementioned as well as shampoo, toilet paper, and paper towel. Definitely not what I was expecting to do in this stay! The first night sleep was terrible. The smoke detector kept beeping and we couldn’t locate a battery to replace the dead one with. As soon as it hit 8 am, I placed a delivery order for a battery in order to stop the beeping as to try and get some rest the next few nights. My family in the next bedroom complained that the bedroom seemed to be a Full size and not a queen size mattress. It was also extremely uncomfortable. I kid you not, we had to make a bed on the floor. You will not find any extra pillows in the closets either. We were greeted with a dirty toilet, toothbrush holder, used soap bars, and a filthy pool. On top of all this, the owner informed me he entered the home to place a $5 comp for the battery. This is beyond unprofessional/ invasion of privacy. Terrible experience.
