Come and enjoy the Black Hills of South Dakota at the cozy Morning Star Lodge! Nestled just outside of Deadwood this is the perfect quiet and private place to enjoy all of the activities the Black Hills has to offer. Minutes from ATV, snowmobiling trails, hiking, skiing, nightlife in Deadwood, and many others. After a day of activities this is the perfect place to enjoy the views and relax!

We had the best time at this property! Everything was smooth and easy from start to finish—seamless check-in, prompt communication, and a spotless home. The views were absolutely amazing and the place had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay (well-equipped kitchen, cozy bedding, and thoughtful touches).The only small downside: the listing says five bedrooms, but one of those sleeping areas is actually an open loft (not a fully private bedroom). It worked fine for us, just good to know when planning sleeping arrangements.Overall, a fantastic stay—we’d happily come back and highly recommend it!

Family Vacation in South Dakota

House was great and accomodated 4 families well. We had 8 adults, 2 children and a dog.Plenty of parking since everyone drove from a different state.Well equpped kitchen, plenty of paper products.Game room and hot tub wonderful.Fourth of July fireworks over the outer cut in Lead visible from deck.

Great location with amazing views!

We absolutely loved our stay at Morning star. The most gorgeous views, peace and quiet, with only a 5 minute drive into deadwood. Very clean property. Hot tub was an added bonus. We will definitely stay here again.

The cabin was just as described. Clean, easy Checkin, everything we needed. Kids enjoyed the basement, lots of space for everyone. Locationm was good, about an hour from everything we wanted to see.

Great spot close to deadwood.

We comfortably fit 11 guys with plenty of room to spare, amazing view from the porch that is very private from other cabins. The owner was very friendly and easy to work with. Great spot for a bachelor or bachelorette party. Highly recommend!

Family Ski Trip

This property was great for a family ski trip! Close to Terry Peak, Lead, and Deadwood. Very clean with lots of things to do inside! Host was easy to work with and communicated great. Would recommend to friends and family.

Perfect Location

Great stay. Newer build with all your household needs met. Garage. Great private location but within distance of others if needed. Short ten minute drive down the well kept road into town for dining or other needs. Will do this one again for sure!

Perfect relaxing fun

Incredible view, amazing house, very clean, property managers are very kind, helpful, and professional. Easy instructions to stay and leave the property. The absolute BEST vacation our family has had ever!! We love South Dakota and these digs are the way to stay. We hope to be back very soon.
