Great family getaway to PCB

This was a good place to stay in PCB! It was close to so many attractions, just a short walk to the beach, stores, and places to eat, and had every amenity you could ask for on a family vacation. The hot water was a little tricky, but there's plenty of it to go around. We would stay here again.

I was traveling with my son and two dogs, the stay was very nice. It was quiet. We had access to all the pools. The beach was a very short distance walk, and it’s convenient to a lot of places.

Family Time Together

My family and I always choose Gulf Highlands , we feel safe surrounded around different cultures , the place we stayed at was just what we needed everything at our reach , pool playground tennis the Beach etc. the place was very clean we had brand new Washer & Dryers and the beds was comfortable , all the tv work and wifi was super. We will be back Thanks Gulf Highland for a fantastic bless trip🥰

Great stay for our hurricane evacuation

We stayed here on after evacuating for a hurricane and it was the perfect for our unexpected vacation. Central to everything you need, and while we didn’t go to the beach often it is not far. If your plan is to go back and forth to the beach multiple times per day, might be tough.. but the community itself has plenty of activities to keep you busy in the sunshine. A pool around every corner along with tennis courts, pickleball, playgrounds etc. Also feels very safe with gated access and a more relaxed feel around the property. The beds were comfortable and the decor isn’t fully updated but it has nearly everything you need. Probably needs a handyman update for some small fixes like light switches for and lamps but nothing that caused a disruption. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes too so we cooked most of our meals without a problem. The only recommendation I would make is a more thorough cleaning on the first floor. By the end of each day (including our first day) everyone’s feet/socks were pretty dirty. Other than that we had a great stay!

Family vacation

Place is in a great location and love the family friendly community. Be aware that there have been plumbing issues now and in the past according to the neighbor. On the first day we let them know that the toilets were not flushing properly and it was not addressed on the last day the toilet and bathtub started leaking water into the the kitchen.

A little TLC needed

I stayed here for a few days with my teens and puppers. We liked the complex, very family and pet friendly, close to the beach walkover and places to eat. Our first impression was disappointing as there was a pile of trash beside the driveway and other random trash around the entrance. The inside furnishings need to be updated or at least cleaned. Toilets were slow to flush , the thermostat is very old and we were requested not to set it below 72. There is carpet on the stairs and bedrooms. An old mattress stuffed in the second bedroom closet was strange . It had a cute swing on the back porch but everything back there seemed dirty and crowded. The floors were not very clean and we found trash behind the night stand. Tv was hard to navigate in the main bedroom and only had a few channels. This could be a cute place with some love and attention and more attention to cleaning.

Fun place to stay

We had a great stay and will definitely be back. We loved all the activities that are right out the front door from pools, tennis, pickle ball, shuttle board, putt putt, and a pool on the beach! Great location!

Not Quite What It Seems

Be prepared for the neighbors to play loud music well into the evening. Toddler toilets are in every bathroom. Stairs and landing are quite squeaky and since the bedrooms are upstairs that would wake a normal sleeper. There are no deadbolts on any door. Yes, there is a cypher lock on the front door but the kitchen and upstairs doors only have a slide latch for extra security. This worked for my purposes (location & price point) this weekend because my daughter had a swim meet close by and we didn't want to stay in a hotel that would have been smaller and cost more. It was clean and all the codes worked to access the grounds & rental property. Vacasa is very communicative with ensuring you have all the information you need. Late checkout (2pm) only cost any extra $18 so that was nice. Wi-Fi was pretty fast so kids liked that part of it as most kids do. Just felt like everything was as cheap as it could be to turn a profit. Recommendation: I wouldn't rent it again or anyone within the property confines.

Had High Hopes....I can't even fit it all into the review.

We arrived on Thursday for my bridal shower. I had high hopes for this place. First, i would like to note that the neighborhood is not at fault for the low score. It was a great location, walking distance and even had a pool. But NO hot tub like it says in the listing, which was the reason I wanted to book it. The bad: Oh god... where do I start. Check in we had to call because the code we were given didn't work. So it took us 20 minutes to check in. Then when we walked in there was a large dehumidifier in the middle of the kitchen hooked to the sink. We had to remove it from the home ourselves as gross sink water dripped down my leg and no one grabbed it the entire time we were there. The place was dirty. We didn't even feel comfortable taking our socks off as we walked up stairs with the dirt filled carpets. There was no extra toilet paper besides the roll on the hook for 5 of us, along with no trash bags or paper towels. We had to go shopping and provide ourselves with all of this. Even after we reached out multiple times. The water was freezing and wouldn't get hot until we had to call someone who went into the shed to fix it. Not to mention the towels that were left in a dusty closet on the floor. The internet didn't work the ENTIRE TIME we were there. We had to run our own hot spot just to watch tv and listen to the music. No one helped us with this even after calling & messaging. The sleeper sofa... just don't. I am still grossed out. I can't believe that was allowed
