Location, location, location! Beautiful recently built cabin on the Tuckasegee River and a hop, skip, and a jump away from Western Carolina University. Minutes from the Hallmark movie-esque town of Sylva with plenty of shopping and dining options. Enjoy countless activities in the neighboring towns of Cherokee and Bryson City. Looking for a perfect day trip? Visit Cashiers, Highlands, Waynesville, Maggie Valley, or Asheville. You'll receive our personalized travel guide with recommendations that are sure to excite all our guests.

This home features all the modern conveniences of home with rustic mountain charm. This smart home provides keyless entry with codes changed after each guest for added safety. Reliable wifi throughout the home and smart TV's for you to stream your favorite movies and programming. YouTube TV provided. All beds feature highly rated memory foam mattresses. The kitchen is fully stocked with all your cooking essentials. There is a mess free electric fireplace in the living room. The outdoor covered pavilion has a wood burning fireplace (firewood not provided) perfect for making s'mores and listening to the sounds of the river. Located on one of the most popular areas for fly fishing. Pack your fishing poles! Hot tub is adjacent to the pavilion. Hot tub fee can be removed if you do not wish to use it.

If you are looking for a home with a beautiful view without the winding, steep roads you often find in mountain areas, this is the place for you. Please be advised that there is road noise from South River Road (especially during the day). Please also note that the loft bedroom is open to the living area below.

Parking available for 3 cars. Rear wheel drive not recommended on incline driveway but there is a small area for parking alongside the road across from the house.
Security cameras are on the exterior of the home to provide security to owner and guests. None are inside or have view of the interior of the home.
Smoking is prohibited on the property. No parties or excessive noise as we are located in a residential area and our guests must be respectful of our neighbors

The house was the perfect size for the two of us. The house was very clean and the beds have high quality mattresses. We loved the location. The house felt very private, yet close to grocery stores and other attractions. We enjoyed being right on the river. We did a lot of fishing and had great success. The only negative for us was the traffic noise from the road out front. A lot of cars and big commercial trucks use this road, They also drive very fast on this road, so be aware. The traffic starts very early in the morning so if you are a light sleeper you may want to use the noise reducing machine by the bed or even bring a pair of earplugs. A couple suggestions would be to provide a set of bowls for serving food and maybe making your coffee area a little more inviting, Providing a variety of K-cups and tea bags would be a nice touch. All things being said this was a long overdue vacation and we had a great time.

This is a clean, new, and well appointed cabin that was in a good location for our foursome to spend a few nights as we played 3 rounds of golf at nearby courses. Would be better suited for couples as the two king beds and both bathrooms are on the lower level. We had to utilize the twin beds upstairs (with no bathroom) to accommodate four adult men but we knew that when we booked it and chose it because of the other amenities.

Fly Fishing Cabin

This was an enjoyable trip. We often go to Western North Carolina. We just love this area and the Tuckasegee River is beautiful. The cabin is very comfortable and close to Sylva for amenities. But you can be out fishing in no time.

Two things let me to this town. One was the view of the river right in front of the rental, the other part was that it is so close to silver falls (and other falls) which are driving distance but still very close proximity to the house. The owner is an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish, I even wrote her during the trip to tell her how much we loved it. The home is beautiful, what you see in the photos is exactly what you get. This was our first trip to the mountains & Sylva was such a beautiful, friendly town to have randomly picked. About a 6 hour drive from where we live, but loved it SO much we plan to visit hopefully again next year and we want to rent from her again! It’s a perfect location, close to downtown Sylva. Shopping, food, and hospitality was amazing. I can’t say enough nice things about our experience. Thank you to the owner for recommendations and accommodating such an amazing stay. We’ll be back!

Great Thanksgiving Getaway

We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving! If you are wanting to trout fish, this is the place! Walk right across road and fish all day. My guys even caught a couple 20” brown trout. Home was wonderful, clean and met all our needs. Would definitely stay again and/or recommend this property.

Very Comfortable Home

We really enjoyed our stay at this home on the river. The house was comfortable for our family of four. We were able to cook dinner with a well set up kitchen. Coffee on the porch each morning was great. The road noise was expected and didn't bother us too much. The outdoor fireplace and hot tub were a nice addition. The owner was very responsive and understanding.

Little Slice of Heaven

This property was AMAZING! It was beautiful inside and out! We loved having the hot tub and the fireplace just a step or two from the house. The layout was perfect and it was just what we needed for our family! Location to downtown Sylva and Cherokee was great as well.

Fantastic River Side Getaway!

The absolute perfect place to stay in the mountains! The view and sounds of the creek were worth the stay alone! We had a blast enjoying the hot tub, grill, and board games almost every day. Everything was very clean and organized. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip and we definitely will be back! The only thing that didn’t really effect us, but could effect others is the driveway. There is no way we would’ve made it up it without 4wd.

Cute cabin in the woods

We spent the week in the woods playing in waterfalls and hiking. This was the perfect landing spot for us each night. Close to town but felt like we were in the middle of nowhere.

Lovely place!

Very nice property, well maintained, very clean! Communication with the owner is top notch! Did not use the hot tub or the outdoor fireplace, but both looked very nice and if we had more time would have definitely done so! The only negative is the close proximity to the road and the associated road noise, but still manageable. Will definitely keep this location on our list of places to stay!

Wonderful

We spent five days at the cottage and it was outstanding. The weather was ideal and the fishing was great. The cottage itself was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It couldn’t have been better. This is our second stay there and we will be sure to return. Without question five stars!

Summer getaway

My family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin. It was the perfect summer getaway for us. My husband and daughter enjoyed fishing and swimming in the river. We were able to cook breakfast every morning and grilled dinner every night at the cabin. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch and relaxing in the hot tub. It is located on a very busy road but, it didn’t bother us!

Great home for the weekend!!

Best house we have ever rented through VRBO! Layout is wonderful, amenities are wonderful, location is fantastic! The road out front is a little busier than we expected but not a big deal. Sharp turn and slightly steep climb into the driveway, but backing out was relatively easy and most traffic would stop to let you out. The outside fire place is exceptional with the grill being a great added touch! We will be back and would recommend to anyone!

Great spot on the river

We enjoyed our long weekend in this house very much as it was a good combination of convenient location to town and area activities, etc. but also in a very scenic location with a lovely view of the river. We enjoyed all the amenities that come with the house. I did see in the listing where it discussed potential of road noise and the house is indeed on a busy road, but we adjusted to it quickly and it wasn’t an issue. The extremely convenient location was worth it. We appreciated the opportunity to stay.

Wonderful

The house was wonderful, clean, comfortable and new. Everything worked. And, for three fishermen, the fishing was as outstanding as the house and the house was in a perfect location right on some of the best stretches of the river.

Clean, easy access to river, and well-stocked!

We had a great family getaway here and enjoyed fishing and tubing on the river. We loved the hot tub and outdoor fireplace for hanging out in the evenings. The house is clean and well-stocked, especially the kitchen. Kimberly was easy to reach and responded quickly. She is so friendly and the check-in/check-out process couldn't have been easier.
