Modern guest house on 20 private acres in Paradise Valley
Modern private guest house located near the end of a rural dirt road in the heart of Paradise Valley. The guest house features a bedroom, a small living room w/ sleeper sofa, a full bath and kitchen. Our setting is classic rural Montana. Enjoy 20 acres with star-filled skies, outdoor fire pit, and spectacular views of the mountains. The perfect base camp to Yellowstone (45 mins.), or the charming town of Livingston (20 mins). If more space is needed the 3b/2ba main house is also available.
The setting is beautiful for this mini-suite. Well appointed and well thought out details, with a nice kitchenette and modern bath. The views of the valley were spectacular.Chris was quick to respond to answer questions, etc.Two caveats: It was a bit too compact for a week long stay and the very bumpy 3.5 mile dirt road to the house got a bit old.Overall, we enjoyed our stay - great views, pronghorn sightings on property, quiet, friendly.
We spent a lot of money to stay here for one night - the most expensive stay of our entire trip - and it was the most underwhelming. The setting is beautiful, and the views are nice for sunrise and sunset, but we would not stay here again. The dirt/rock road to the property is very bumpy and it is a 15-minute drive on this to the house. The location is not ideal if you want to explore - because every time you leave, itâs going to be a 30-minute round trip added to get to your destination. There are three other separate smaller guest units outside your door, plus the main home, so it is not really private or as secluded as you would think. The guest house feels very cramped. Okay for a solo traveler with a duffel bag. Not ideal for two people with one piece of luggage each. There is no where to set your luggage - except one suitcase in the floor in the living room and one in front of the bed. We were running into each other and tripping over our suitcases. No closet space. I canât imagine two people staying here for an extended period. For the price we paid, we expected the guest house to be pristine - instead it appeared worn, rugs were tattered and stained, laundry unit was dirty, the dryer door does not stay closed during a cycle, and the limited decor is just meh. Surprised the owner felt the current condition justified the price per night. We wished we would have selected another property for our one night in Paradise Valley.
