Luminous Hideaway & Restful Garden Retreat

Mooncrest cottage is a minimalist and cozy hidden retreat located in the back of our property and has no direct view/access to the street. You will need to go through the front yard of the main house (where we live), which is monitored by security cameras, in order to access the cottage wooden gate. As you come through the first metal gate, you might be greeted by some of the stray/feral cats that we care for. They live on the property and will roam freely around the cottage. All cats have been TNR'd. Please make sure to keep the metal gate closed at all times for their safety as there are coyotes and free roaming dogs in the neighborhood. Therefore, we cannot accept dogs.
The yard offers a hammock, a bench, a wooden table and chairs, and two loungers. There is also a barbecue grill at your disposition.
The property is located very close to downtown. It's a 9 min walk to Goodwin's market, and another 5 min walk to the (free) trail that goes around the lake. There are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance (10-15 min).
The main room has a queen size bed and a table with two comfortable armchairs. The kitchen has a stove, fridge, microwave, washer/dryer and it's equipped with the basic cooking equipment (pots, pans, blender, french press for tea/coffee, drip coffee maker, toaster, oven dishes, cutting board, electric water kettle). The main room is equipped with a mini split AC and a gas heater.
To access the office, you will need to exit through the kitchen back door, take the steep stairs in the back of the cottage. The upstairs space offers a desk and a comfortable ergonomic work chair. There is also a small sofa (love seat) that turns into a bed slightly smaller than a full size bed. TA fitted sheet, flat sheet and two pillow cases will be provided upon request. There is a small space heater for the office upstairs but no AC.
IMPORTANT: snow chains must be carried in all vehicles from November through April. *****No exceptions*****
