Family Legacy Resort, Making great family memories

We purchased the property in 2010 and Built this cottage for our family. After our children moved out we sold our home and moved here as our full-time residence. We loved lake living so decided to build our new home on the same property, using our cottage as a guest home. We did not use it as much as expected so we decided to Rent it for additional retirement income. The building has 1536 sq ft, including the 3-season porch. 2, 12'x15' bedrooms with 7 beds, plus a sofa bed in the living area.
The space
This property has been such a blessing to our family and we hope it is to your family too. The sunrises will set you back in awe and wonder. We are Christians, the house has a lot of verses in it. There is No smoking in the building and respectful smoking is allowed on the property.

The washer and dryer are available to use, please bring your own detergent and dryer sheets.

We have bath towels but no beach towels. Please bring your own beach towels.

For those of you looking to get out onto the water, bring your own watercraft (you may tie up to the dock) or bring your own kayaks/paddleboards. If you are looking to rent kayaks or paddleboards, we have 4 sit-on-top style kayaks with fishing pole holders in them and 2 paddleboards available to rent for the length of your stay (use over and over again)
$25 each.

Lots of fishing happens on this all-sports lake, bring your license, bait, and poles.

There is a firepit available, you may bring your own wood. We have Marshmallow sticks ready for your use, a lighter, and paper to get a fire started. If you would like wood, let us know ahead of time and it will be ready for your use, $10 for a wheelbarrow.

We have a yard volleyball net, horseshoe pit, other yard games, slide on the beach, outdoor patio furniture, picnic table.

Please only wear modest swimwear! Please no thong-type suits or revealing clothing. Please no Speedos!

This is not a rental area! This is a family area! We understand everyone has their own comfort with modesty. Please respect this family area, our neighbors, etc. We want everyone including our family and neighbors to be comfortable with our property.

Quiet time is from 11:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please be quiet and respectful to our neighbors.
Guest access
We own 86 feet of frontage on Dumont Lake with a sandy beach and a dock. You are welcome to bring your boat and use the dock and beach.
Our yard is huge for a lake lot, 1.4 acres. There are a lot of areas for family fun activities.
Other things to note
We have worked very hard to offer a great experience for each guest. Quality experiences are not always the least costly. We would love to show you the property before you rent to make sure you have a five-star experience during your visit! Thank you for considering our property.

RULES FOR THE LAKE:

DUMONT LAKE - R281.703.10 - Hours for high-speed boating and water skiing.

10. On the waters of Dumont lake, sections 32 and 33, T3N, R13W, Monterey township, and sections 4 and 5, T2N, R13W, Allegan township, Allegan county, it is unlawful, during the period of May 15 to September 15, on Saturdays, Sundays, Memorial day, Independence day, and Labor day, except between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., to:

(a) Operate a vessel at high speed, which means a speed at or above which a motorboat reaches a planing condition.

(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, a water sled, kite, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.
