Walnut Beach Inn - close to the beach!

Welcome to the Walnut Beach Inn! This centrally-located, updated Victorian is just steps away from the entrance to Walnut Beach which is located about a block away. Great for families with kids, this 4 bed/2 bath retreat is within walking distance to the beach and the historic Ashtabula Harbor District. We also have a large freezer chest for fishermen!

The Walnut Beach Inn provides ample space for up to 11 guests. One main floor bedroom with a queen size bed and a main floor full bathroom with stackable washer and dryer. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms and another full bathroom. One bedroom with a king size bed, one bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4), and the last bedroom with a queen size bed and a single bed.

Outside you will find a newly installed stamped concrete patio great for gathering with your whole group and a fire pit for relaxing in the evening! Enjoy a beautiful view of the lake and Walnut Beach right from the patio!!

There is not beach access from the backyard. The entrance to Walnut Beach is about a block away. You can walk to Walnut Beach from the house by going down the sidewalk toward the entrance. There is a large public parking lot that is located closer to the beach so it would be much easier to drive and park there if you are taking a lot of things with you to the beach. At the bottom of the hill behind the house, there is a drinking water treatment facility that does not obstruct the view of the lake. It is a quiet and odorless facility.

Great place to stay! Rates are family friendly! Can watch sunset/sunrise from backyard and it’s a quick ride/walk to the beach which is also quite beautiful and clean!

The house's location is ideal. Walnut Beach is awesome. Playground, nice sandy beach and live music Sunday night. The hosts were available to answer any questions we had. Would visit again.

February stay

The house was exactly as described with lots of parking and easy access. Inside the rooms were spacious and had all the items necessary. There were lots of towels and blankets and the kitchen had every thing needed to cook and eat.

"Sisters by Choice" yearly wine trip.

Beautiful property and surrounding areas. The Inn was amazing and had high quality products throughout. It was one of the nicest places we have stayed within the15 years we have been taking these trips. The only issue for others would be the stairs to the second level if you have existing problems with stairs. We had a fantastic time at this property!

Great girls weekend at WBI

Seven of us stayed very comfortably at the house. It was clean, spacious and well stocked. The owners thought of just about everything. I now forget the one or two things that we could not find, but they were very minor. The patio & fire pit were great to enjoy the view of the lake and there was PLENTY of wood. The beach is just down the hill. We would definitely recommend this property to friends & family.

Weekend Wedding Trip

Property was very clean and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Property owners were readily available. The location can't be beat, with so many attractions and within walking distance. The kids loved walking down to the pickleball courts. Walnut beach was a quick walk too.

great eclipse experience

We stayed here with extended family and had a wonderful time. The beach park is just around the corner and restaurants are in walking distance. It was a great location to see the 2024 eclipse. Communication with the hosts was especially clear and helpful. This rental was a great experience all around!

Cute Vacation Home

We had a nice family weekend in this clean rental! The beach is beautiful! The back yard was smaller than we had thought based on the pictures but we spent most of our time at the beach anyways! There is a very steep hill to get down to the beach so we ended up driving to the beach with the young kids rather than walking. Overall, we had a very nice stay!

Excellent house and location!

This house was wonderful to stay in, plenty of room for everyone and so close to Walnut Beach! We loved having the option to use the washer/dryer and 2 full bathrooms. The house was very clean and comfortable to stay in and the kitchen was well stocked with what you need for a few meals. It was nice having the garbage in the large shed so you don't have to worry about animals getting in to anything. The owners provide a nice wagon for the beach if needed and a few bicycles to enjoy the town! We didn't get to ride them this time but definitely a nice option. There is a grocery store, a McDonalds and a gas station within minutes of the house which is very convenient. A 15 minute drive to Geneva on the Lake along Lake Road which has beautiful views during your drive! excellent location, highly recommend!

Sisters’ Getaway

Our group of 7 sisters were very comfortable in your lovely home. Because we don’t spend time together as often as we used to we were looking for a place big enough and not too far away to just be together and TALK. Each day we found somewhere fun to explore in Ashtabula or nearby. We had a wonderful stay.

Worked perfect

Size of the house was perfect. Beds and house were clean. Distance to SPIRE was a little far, but very close to beach and downtown. Overall it was nice and served the purpose for what we needed.

My husband, Dave and I have been coming to this area since 2014. We love being so close to the lake and all of the other great things about this area like the wineries and covered bridges. We have watched it really come back to life and have seen some awesome restaurants open up on Bridge Street.

We were so excited when the Walnut Beach Inn went up for sale. We had looked at booking it years before but it was always booked during the times we were planning a trip. We love old houses and are so excited to get to know all of the character and details of this historic home. Check back often as we are going to be updating it and adding some really great amenities!
