The room was very clean. I stayed with my elementary-aged children so the pull-out sofa worked perfectly for them. The room is directly across from the elevators. This was convenient for us, however, that of course comes with a little more noise from other guests going back and forth. It didn’t bother us. Just making note. The king size bed was comfortable. Using the tram passes made it easy getting back and forth to the beach. The Village is about a 3-min walk so even with tired kiddos in tow it was an easy walk back to the room.

The room itself is ok and the Grand Sandestin property is great but the property management company managing this rental did a poor job and this was the worst travel/room experience I have ever encountered. Check in was at 4:00 and we arrived at 4:15 only to find the cleaners at the door who had not even started cleaning the room and told us we would have to come back in 30 minutes. When we finally were able to access the room we quickly found that the cleaner had locked the only bathroom door feom the inside and closed it when she left so we could not get into the bathroom to put up our stuff and get ready for dinner reservations we had. After waiting for about an hour for maintenance to show up we finally figured out a way to pick the lock ourselves and get in the bathroom. The TV worked but the only thing you could get the remote to do was turn it on and change the volume. You could not change the channel or input. The main/only overhead light in the room was out and so was one of the bedside lamps. The under cabinet light flickered on and off like a strobe light. Lastly the wifi network that was listed in the rental welcome packet either did not exist or was not a discoverable network. We were able to obtain an alternate network and password after contacting them, but not sure why they initially gave us one that didnt exist. We only had 2 nights here and spent half that dealing with issues and their only thing they offered to us was a 12:00 checkout instead of 10
