It’s OK
I want to start by saying our host was attentive and kind. Incredibly responsive and gets 5 stars. The house as a whole was sufficient for what we needed. Beds were firm (we prefer that) and comfortable and the bathrooms were good. Location was great if you have a car for getting around. We were 10-15 minutes from everything we wanted to do…Busch stadium/downtown, Science Museum, The Magic House. All of this was great and expected. The house needs a GOOD deep clean from the wood floors to the carpet to the couch. The floors were dirty upon arrival and our host had the cleaning company out ASAP, once again, the host for this property is top notch. Unfortunately, even after a good vacuum, socks and feet were still black. We ended up just wearing our shoes until we climbed into bed. The game room leaves a lot to be desired. We hoped our kids would enjoy hanging out there but that was not the case. I also understand why the person a few posts ago didn’t even stay at the house. While we experienced zero issues with the neighborhood, the neighborhood appears very unsafe. The neighbors smoke pot on their porch steps in the evening and there is a large abandoned building (that is being worked on) at the front entrance to the neighborhood. If your a family with young children, a group of girls, or a couple I’d look to stay somewhere else. The street the house is on is also very noisy. I want to recommend but probably wouldn’t.

We were in town for a college tour of WashU and the place was great, and close to the university. Comfortable, all the amenities, and perfect for a temporary home away from home!
