We really enjoyed our stay. Better than the pictures with much more seating in the living room and dining area than the pictures showed (there are 2 long rustic dining tables and a huge sectional couch). Perfect amount of space for our large family and friend group. We’d definitely love to come again.

My group of 25 friends have stayed for a long weekend every winter for the past 4 years. The grounds are great, the hot tub is wonderful. There will occasionally be wear/wobble on chairs and such but that is just what happens with furniture - and I can attest that since our last stay they've replaced the large sofa in the main floor living room. The sound system is great as well (though it does skip a bit on the balcony, we just didn't use those speakers). Incredible value, friendly caretaker, no complaints.

Our 7th annual ski weekend was perfect. We had plenty of space for our entire crew and every amenity we could want. The caretaker met us at the property and walked us through everything which was great. He was very helpful and answered any questions that we had.We utilized every part of the house especially enjoying the pool table, poker table, hot tub, sauna and the spacious kitchen seating.We can't wait to come back again!

Amazing Home for a group!

We had about 20 guests staying here for a birthday party and it could not have been more perfect. We got snowed in which added to the magic. The property manager was extremely attentive.

Awesome stay!

We had an awesome time at Moose Lake Ranch! It had plenty of space and everything we needed for a 17-person friend reunion. Plenty of space, great amenities, and right on the lake. Definitely secluded but we didn’t feel the need to venture away from the property. I would highly recommend the venue for a future stay!

Wedding Retreat

We stayed for 4 days. We had a wonderful stay, the house was beautiful. Steve, the property manager/caretaker, was wonderful. He was very helpful and easy to get in touch with. He knew we were having a small wedding on the property and made everything beautiful, made the driveway nice and smooth. I do not have a bad thing to say about our stay. We hope to return with all of our 25 guests in the future!

Van Vugt 40th anniversary

Fabulous stay

Our large family had a fabulous time on the water utilizing the boats, dock and float. Beds are very comfortable and plenty of room for everyone with lots to do in the very private yard and water access. The large hot tub was a big hit, too. We plan to come back next summer. There are private areas as well as the large open living space by the kitchen. The dogs loved it, too!

Great place great people

This house was beautiful. Had a group of friends up for an atv weekend. We went to local tracks mx207, Hemonds atv Mx for trails and riding. The house was great for relaxing and had plenty of room for parking for trailers and trucks. Plan on renting again 100% you won’t be disappointed.

There is something special about watching people slow down here. The lake mornings, the wide open acreage, the quiet evenings — it naturally brings people together.

Saturday Pond is peaceful and uncrowded, with calm water ideal for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and relaxing on the dock. Unlike larger commercial lakes, it offers a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere that allows you to truly unplug.

What we love most is the balance: you feel completely tucked away in nature, yet you’re only about 30 minutes from skiing at Shawnee Peak, boat rentals, dining, and local attractions.

It feels secluded — but never isolated.

Mornings are quiet and misty over the water. Evenings are filled with sunsets, fire pits, and stargazing. Wildlife is common, and the property’s trails make it feel like your own private retreat.
