Love, love, love! We had an absolutely wonderful month at this gorgeous house. Highlights were:It is truly dog friendly! I had my small pupper (Frenchie) with me this month and both he and the humans adored spending time in the gorgeous, enclosed back garden. There are gates on either side and he loved watching people go by on the sidewalk. It is an amazing neighbourhood for dog walking, and we met so many dogs in the neighbourhood over the month. Newport we found to be very dog friendly overall with many patios that welcomed dogs and we took advantage of that. I was especially touched that the owners (who are next door) were so welcoming to him (and us!) as well. The house is not only gorgeous, it was perfectly equipped (if youâve rented a vacation property before, then this will resonate with you: good (sharp!) cutting knives, lots of cutting boards, BBQ utensils, great linens, great water pressure in the shower,etc). Street parking pass was perfect - we always had parking available close to our front door. We were obsessed with sitting out in the garden and had breakfast outside almost every day. It was a little oasis. Location, location, location. We were in Newport for a month and although there are plenty of charming neighborhoods - we canât imagine a better spot than « the point ». Quiet and wonderfully charming neighbourhood. This house was a block away from the waterfront which made our frequent strolls lovely, but it is also a short walk to downtown restaurants.
