Plus, with a thriving visual and performing arts scene and respected galleries and museums, Tucson’s vibrant multicultural heritage shines.
Famous for its dramatic beauty, the Sonoran Desert covers this region with spectacular cacti – including the giant saguaro, a symbol of the American Southwest. But don’t be fooled by the term “desert” because mountain ranges in all directions offer scenic drives and even snow skiing. In the winter you can go for a hike in the valley, then drive up to Mt. Lemmon and enjoy the slopes. Tucson’s legendary year-round sunshine and saguaro-and-sunset landscape have romanced visitors for decades. Basement apartment stay
The property was great. Our friends, 3 other couples, were in the house so sharing the patio was perfect. The location was wonderful for our book festival weekend. The ambiance and historical items including the books in the house were interesting. I’d recommend doing some bathroom work relative to repairs on shower surround and ceiling water damage. Otherwise, a comfortable stay.

Sam Hughes Gem with British Colonial Feel
One of the most fascinating homes I've ever stayed in! British Colonial decorations made it feel like we were living in another era (one very familiar and beloved for my South African immigrant mom). Aside from enjoying the amenities of the house, we were there for U of A graduation and the location was perfect - proximity to campus, restaurants, etc. Especially loved hearing every day the white-winged doves who seem to 'own' the neighborhood.
