Calahonda
Calahonda is a small coastal neighbourhood situated between the two cities on Costa del Sol, Fuengirola and Marbella which are both among the most popular holiday destinations on the Costa del Sol. The attraction lies in golf courses and many other leisure facilities, including the beach and nearby marina at Cabopino.

Even though it is highly developed, one of Calahonda’s attractions is its access to green and quiet spaces, including golf courses, campsites and pine forests.

There are many restaurants for any taste in Calahonda, offering dishes with seafood, Italian pasta or pizza, Indian and of course Spanish cuisine so you can enjoy different types of food in different restaurants every night.

Another option is a a short taxi ride to the marina at Cabopino or 10 minutes up the road in Elviria, where you’ll find the world-famous Nikki Beach. Across the highway you will find more shops and restaurants, not to mention fitness centers & gyms.

Calahonda has three main shopping areas: Calypso, El Zoco and Doña Lola, a large beachside complex with tennis, swimming pool, shops, a restaurant and a bar. Just in a 20 minutes walk, you’ll find El Zoco, which is probably the most well-known, of Calahonda’s commercial centres and it has the widest choice of restaurants, bars and shops, including Supersol supermarket and a taxi rank.

Calahonda offers a wide choice of outdoor activities, including sailing, water sports, padel and tennis courts and of course golf. There is also a good selection of gyms, health clubs and swimming pools.
