The Boat House has been fully remodeled and reimagined with bright open windows looking directly out over the lake front. This incredible one bedroom is fully appointed with a full bathroom and kitchen, a beautiful living room over the water and comfortable sleeping accommodations to help you wind down after you lake adventures.

Lake Tomahawk is one of 6 lakes compromising the Minocqua Chain of Lakes, which is 15+ miles of waterfront! Lake Tomahawk alone is 3627 acres and known for excellent fishing, watersports and some of the most scenic paddling adventures one could hope for!

Clean and well maintained. Beautiful views and peaceful. If you are bringing kayaks, think about putting in at the landing 1/2 mile down the lake to the left and paddle to the house.

We stayed for a long weekend with our two miniature schnauzer’s and two teenage sons. We loved being right on the water, swimming, floating, fishing and just enjoying the water while sitting on the dock with a book. It is a little warm on August afternoons with no AC but there are fans and that was when we were outside mostly anyway. The kitchen has everything you need and bathroom was nice and updated. The stairs down to the boathouse are no joke but that is part of getting down to the water. The property managers were very responsive and the place was very clean. We had a great time and would love to come back!

This is a beautiful property in a great location. The hosts were great. They helped us get our luggage from parking area to the property whic was greatly appreciated. The listing states that there is a parking garage but there is not. Also the windows that gave a beautiful view made it very hot inside when the sun was shinning on them. Whe the sun went down the temperature got better. Although there is ac unit it did not seem to help much. But when we were there it was extremely high temps for that area. Other than that nice stay.

5 stars just isn’t enough for the boat house! the place is exactly as pictured…but even cuter. with an absolutely beautiful & unobstructed view of the lake, the boathouse had plenty of room for 2 adults & our puppy. the place is very thoughtfully renovated and furnished. I do want to highlight some things that really stood out to us- the boathouse is a very short distance from the boat launch, making it super easy to launch and then dock up at the property. The 10min drive to downtown Minocqua is beautiful, but we preferred to spend time at the bars in downtown Lake Tomahawk, just a few minutes away. The bathroom lighting is great. We didn’t see a single bug inside for the 4 days we were there. There are plenty of wall outlets. Great water pressure and hot water. Between the 2 fans provided and the AC unit, we had no issues keeping the place cool during the moderately warm August days. There is a large parking area at the top of the hill- easy and convenient to keep the boat trailer. Lots of space for a dog to run and explore. And as a bonus- the dock is a pretty great place to get engaged!! Thank you Woodhill Resorts, we will be back!!

Loved this property

We needed some overflow space for a family trip up north and The Boathouse was the perfect spot for us. Waterfront location, beautiful views and a quick drive to town (Lake Tomahawk or Minocqua). Decor is darling. We'd love to return next summer!

Fishing getaway

Everything was very nice and pretty clean...only thing we really noticed was a lot of dust under the couch but that was it. The cold water facuet did drip some when turned on but everything else worked as expected. Great little place with amazing view sitting at the waters enge...would definitely come back again.

Enjoyable Stay!

There were a few things as far as cleanliness but communicated this to property management and received a response right away. Other than that I would recommend the Boat House for your stay. A perfect location both off the lake and on, perfect for a couple with an added benefit of allowing dogs. The ambiance, the updated kitchen and bathroom, the view, the easy access to the lake with a little beach area. Made for an enjoyable stay.

Great little boat house

This was the most peaceful vacation we have had in a long time. As we were the only people in the area, since it was obviously off season, the only sounds we heard were birds and a few boats. The place suited my husband and our 2 dogs perfectly. The kitchen was nice and the bathroom was very spacious for this small of a space. I only Wish there would have been a washer/dryer. I would definitely stay here again.

The Boat House Oct 2023

Overall, property interior was as described and nicely done with a few caveats. Finding the property was extremely difficult. The instructions should be more explicit with better photos to help renters visualize the unusual (steep and narrow) approach to the property. Property exterior was very steep, uneven with few handrails. Arrival at dusk made unloading very hazardous. Sidewalks or paths with railing from parking area to door would be advisable. The unit appeared clean but we rolled up the rugs to prevent damage by our pets and found them every dusty and dirty underneath. The rugs and floors under them need to be cleaned better. It appeared that a lightbulb burned out in a bedside lamp. When we tried to replace it, a spark flashed and most of the lights went out. We were able to flip the circuit breaker to restore power. The small heating unit over the front door was inadequate to heat the high ceiling room in 40 degree weather. We spent $50 at Walmart for a space heater to be comfortable. One of the window blinds was broken when we arrived and held together with a binder clip. The blind could be open or closed only. We received conflicting information on whether check out time was 8 or 9 am. We left at 8:10. Even with these problems, the view and proximity to local restaurants, attractions and recreation mitigated some inconveniences. The worst part was being cold. A summer visit at least would not have that annoyance.
