Modern 2 BR w/ Rooftop Deck

Modern loft located in downtown Lynchburg at Riverfront Park on Jefferson Street. Enjoy hanging out on the spacious rooftop balcony or take the steps down to one of Lynchburg’s most popular restaurants, The Water Dog. The loft is within walking distance to several restaurants, coffee shops, bars, parks, walking, and biking trails. A quick 10 minute drive to Liberty University or Lynchburg College. A great night out on the town is a short walk away!

The Water Dog is located under the loft. You may hear a little life coming from the restaurant during their business hours. A sound machine is located in each bedroom to assist if you are a light sleeper. 25 steps to the loft.

Fun, neat place, comfortable couch and bed (adjustable settings), beautiful kitchen well stocked with utensils, fabulous bathroom/shower. TV had great selection. Convenient location to walking trails, bakeries and some restaurants are walking distance. If you have a lot of bags/ mobility issues, may not be place for you.

We really enjoyed being down close to the river, in such a lively neighborhood with many choices of places to eat and have a drink. Speaking of bars, although the apartment is atop a large, active sports bar/nightspot, we were not troubled at all by the hubbub—solid old warehouse building absorbed sounds quite nicely. Lynchburg is laced with foot and bike trails, and we loved being able to jump straight onto them steps out the door. The rail-to-trail paths feature great old trestles and one impressive tunnel, just minutes by foot. We walked 10 miles each day of our stay. Perfect weather helped, but lots of the trails are well-shaded, and we would’ve been out there even in more typical August weather.

This place truly exceeded my expectations in every way. Nestled in a vibrant location, it offered an abundance of activities and attractions just a stone's throw away. One of the standout features was the excellent on-site restaurant, the Water Dog. The ambiance was inviting, and the menu featured many dishes. It was the perfect spot to unwind. My stay was enjoyable and memorable, thanks to the fantastic surroundings and great place.

Great meeting spot

The loft was a great central meeting spot for us and college kids for Easter break! We didn’t need to worry about being loud to upset the neighbors because there was all sorts of busyness downstairs at the restaurant. This was not an issue for us, we appreciated it. But do know that this wouldn’t be a place for rest and relaxation and early bedtimes. This was mentioned in the listing too. The kids loved the Easter egg hunting on the roof patio! The kitchen was stocked with serving utensils enough to serve family style catering. Most of the outdoor patio furniture needs deep cleaning or replacing. Overall, a great space for our trip!

Wonderful stay

We stayed for a long weekend. The pics/description on vrbo were spot on. This place is beautiful. You will have everything you will need while visiting. The location is downtown and easy to walk to several restaurants. There are trains close by but the host provides sound machines in each bedroom. There is a restaurant downstairs that does play music but they close around midnight. Again, sound machines. I would gladly stay here again. .

Had a wonderful time

We enjoy yes the loft, was in a great location to go see local sites and not far from the Lynchburg hillcats stadium were we could watch our son play. Will be more than happy to get this place again on other visits.

Perfect Loft

The entire stay from the very high quality and uniqueness of the loft to the nearby restaurants was a home run!!!! We had a great time! I would highly recommend the stay.

Beautiful place/Great location

Centrally located near many great restaurants and along the waterfront. The large outdoor patio is great. I wish the patio had been spruced up a bit prior to our arrival. Leaves needed to be blown off, dead plants removed and the outdoor lights connected. The Christmas tree was still up inside which was disappointing as well and the blinds need to be fixed as the venue is dark with the blinds down and most wouldn’t lift. All things considered it’s a great space in a great area. It was clean and well appointed.

Good Downtown Stay

If you are looking for a nice stay in the heart of downtown Lynchburg, this is the place. Really spacious and well appointed. It is above a restaurant/bar so be prepared for some noise at night. Good communication and info was provided throughout the process.

Great family weekend for LU Homecoming!

What a fun place to stay! We loved the uniqueness of this condo and had plenty of space. The weather was fantastic so we made great use of the outdoor space and had lunch outside. The only downfall is that there are trains coming through at all hours so if you’re a light sleeper, be sure you have a noise machine or fan. We absolutely loved it and will definitely stay here again.

Phenomenal Girls Weekend in Lymchburg

This loft was amazing! The outdoor rooftop patio was our favorite place to start and end every day! The pictures online do not do this justice, absolutely gorgeous! We loved the comfortable beds and slept wonderfully! The safe converted to a wine cellar rack was priceless! The fact that this was a meat packing facility back in the day and was restored and kept as much original as possible was so creative! The meat hook for the shower towel, so cool! The meat pulley holding up the chandelier, wow! We loved the Water Dog and enjoyed watching all 4 of our sporting events on Sunday at the same time! We can’t say enough about this incredible place to stay! If you are in or near LYNCHBURG, stay here! ❀
