This is a wonderful place and stay. Lots of communication and the house we in great condition. The outdoor space was awesome and having a fire pit was a highlight for the kids.

Cozy house

If you’re in town for a day or two house is close to everything Durham has to offer. Owners are very nice and quick to respond.

Clean and comfortable space

Inside was clean and comfortable, check in was easy. Only thing I would say is the backyard needed some TLC. Other than that, great stay!

Perfect for a Cozy Weekend

Thank you to our hosts for such a great stay. The property was clean, cozy, and just like the pictures. (We loved the fire pit!) The hosts were communicative, left us easy to follow instructions, and made us feel welcome. Would stay here again!

Duke visit

This was fine for our 3 night stay to drop granddaughter off for a conference at Duke. On our last night there was a storm that brought a lot of rain so we did have some water bugs show up which was a bit unsettling for three women who don’t like bugs but other than that it work good for what we needed.

Had everything we needed for our trip. Would have been nice to use the garage to park the classic Mustang we had down there for a car show. The listing should probably note that the garage is not to be used for cars.

Great Place!!

The house is wonderfully clean and welcoming! We were truly surprised with the amenities!! The house had all kinds of extras we did not expect. We felt safe in the home. The internet worked and the TV was logged into Disney which was cool!! The lighting was good, both interior and exterior. The directions for check in/out were clear. Communication with the host was very responsive! The water was hot and the towels were plentiful! The sheets were crisp and clean! I’d stay here again!

Not a place for kids of the 20 centery

Disappointed. The kids were in misery. Housekeeping issues: DIRTY oven, dirty pan inside of the oven. Dirty refrigerator and freezer both consistiing of food. Ants in the kitchen and dining area. Entertainment: One TV! Location of the home.

Hi Sandra, While we appreciate your perspective, these statements are simply not true. Our home was well cleaned and tidy when you arrived. Our home has 5 Star ratings on every site we host on, including this one. Our housekeeper sends a recording to us after each cleaning, including the refrigerator. We offered to send it to you and you didn’t respond. We do not have an ant or bug infestation of any kind. We have a regular pest keeping service for our property. We also offered to send you receipts to which you didn’t respond. In addition, we asked our housekeeper to take a look around when she arrived after you left to see if she could find any ants because if there was, indeed, a problem then it’s something we would want addressed immediately by our pest company. She filmed around the whole house for us and couldn’t find any. The fact that the TV is in the living room is CLEARLY in the photos and description. We do indeed keep non-perishable cooking products such as cooking oil, spices, condiments, olive oil etc for our guests. We advertise a “well stocked” kitchen and that is what we provide. Frozen snacks are very much appreciated by guests who have been traveling all day and get in late at night. Also, you forgot to mention how you heard noises at night and thought someone else was living in the home, specifically the closets. We weren’t really sure how to address that except to explain the locked closets are where house keeping supplies are kept.

We love the chill vibe our home has. As soon as we walk in we always feel at home and relaxed. This is our second home, not just an investment, so we have made our best effort to supply everything that we need when we are visiting. We love watching the sun come up on the front porch and relaxing in the evening on the back deck. The neighborhood is a quiet residential community and the neighbors love walking their dogs or just getting exercise throughout the day. They always wave making us feel welcome whenever we visit. We hope you enjoy our home away from home and feel the same way that we do when we are visiting. We often hate to leave.
