Located in the beautiful hilltop area of Portsmouth, this cottage is perfect for a quiet stay. Just minutes from both SOMC and KDMC and 5 minutes from the historic downtown Boneyfiddle area, floodwall murals, Shawnee State University and the Ohio river. Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. A bamboo grove uniquely lines the backyard making it a perfect "Panda Palace". Fur babies welcome!

The host was wonderful, welcoming and accommodating. The neighborhood was quiet. I stayed by myself so I wish the basement stairwell wasn't completely open and/or some kind of security system. But I loved the keyless entry and curb appeal.

I stayed at this property while attending finishing school for the union, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. The week prior, I stayed at a different hotel and was very disappointed with the outdated facility and lack of cleanliness. This property was the exact opposite—extremely clean, well taken care of, and clearly managed with pride.The owners were wonderful to work with—friendly, responsive, and very communicative. I also felt safe, which made it easy to relax and sleep well, and I appreciated not having to worry about critters or surprises when I got home.I will absolutely be back and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and worry-free stay.

Perfect for our hometown visit

The Panda House was a perfect choice for our stay. Only a mile from all our in-town destinations, and only a few miles from most other necessities (grocery, food, restaurants). Will be our go to here on out.

Courtney is amazing! I rented this house long term for someone I work with and the whole process was super seamless. She worked with us, was super responsive, and the property was great. Highly recommend!

Family Reunion

Clean, Comfortable & Great Host!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Panda Palace. We felt very welcome and right at home. The house was cozy and clean and decorated nicely. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was very nice. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals from scratch. Two stand-alone pantries offer plenty of space for groceries. The living room is arranged to encourage conversation, play board games, watch a good movie, or curl up with a book. We enjoyed dinner on the back patio one evening, making memories and listening to the sound of birds in the nearby bamboo. We appreciated the location of the home, close to shopping, walking, parks, and grocery stores. The neighborhood is very quiet, feels safe for walking, and the neighbors are friendly. Courtney and Jeff are excellent hosts! Small touches throughout the home, like a variety of snacks and toiletries were noticed and appreciated. The washer broke during our stay, and they showed up the next day with a replacement, and even took our clothes home to wash and dry in the interim! As one of the signs on the wall says, “Bless all those who visit. May they come as guests and leave as family.” This was certainly our experience, and we highly recommend this home and these hosts to others!

Lovely, quaint inviting home.

Grew up in Portsmouth and came home for a family members funeral. A lovely home and great neighborhood to rest and relax. I will definitely recommend Panda House.

Excellent as always!

Courtney is a fantastic host! The house is cozy and spotless every time! Every detail is always taken care of, and she always leaves a sweet basket of goodies for us to enjoy. We left some food in the fridge by mistake and she called us and set it outside for us to pick up while the house was being cleaned. My Mom made food for my college daughter that we were visiting and her teammates. They appreciated it so much. Thank you Courtney!
