It is famous as the location of the home of Michelangelo Buonarroti, now a museum. The apartment is 400m from Santa Croce and conveniently located near the Michelangelo Italian language school. It is a 10 minute walk to the Duomo, a 3 minute walk to the famous Sant`Ambrogio open-air food market and a 5 minute walk to the river Arno at the Ponte alla Grazie (one bridge up stream from the Ponte Vecchio). The area is lined with many shops and restaurants. Also nearby is a super market, post office and several gyms.
