The local contact was very welcoming. The flat was very comfortably appointed and very quiet. It felt peaceful and cozy there. They seem to have thought of everything. The location is safe and close to many wonderful restaurants and shops. We had the perfect trip. So grateful.

Stay was very easy. Very clean. Parking is very difficult in San Francisco, there are parking passes available for purchase from the host for street parking but be prepared to park at least a full block away. Excellent cafe right at the end of the block and a Safeway just a 10 min walk away. Very easy to use public transportation. Kitchen fully equipped although we didn’t end up cooking during our stay there. Ample towels and sheets.

This apartment was perfect for us! Located in the Noe Valley, we had access to public transportation, found it easy to walk the neighborhood area, and had access to a parking pass which helped greatly.The apartment had everything we needed to cook and wash our clothes. The communication with the host was efficient and quickly done.

Excellent location in Noe Valley near shops and restaurants, walkable sidewalks and streets. The apartment itself was a very comfortable size for 2 adults and one teen; we loved spending time together over dinner some evenings there, with incredible array of cooking and serving materials—nice to be in a welcoming space! Pretty garden in entryway and homey touches everywhere. Views of trees surrounding the 2nd floor apartment. Quiet neighbors, too.

Our Noe Valley interlude

We had a lovely time and appreciated the overall ease of our experience, from communication beforehand and at checkin to our two weeks living in our little corner of Noe Valley. We were visiting for medical reasons, and we enjoyed having this place to retreat to.

Quiet, safe getaway in the city

Rae and their family were absolutely stellar to communicate with. We loved our stay and appreciated how clean and homey everything felt. They have thought of everything from outdoor towels for picknicking to toiletries. We would absolutely stay again!

Served well

The layout, furnishings, and facilities were fine. The neighborhood was close to our family's home. We were able to walk night and day. without concern. Sanchez street (2 blks away) is designated a "slow street" meaning we could ride bikes and walk without lots of traffic. Very nice. You do have a parking limit in the neighborhood of 2 hours or you will get a ticket.

Super flat in S.F.

This was the perfect home base for exploring San Francisco for our family of 3. Noe Valley is a wonderful neighborhood plus the J Church muni is a nice ride and easy to get downtown or GGPark to do touristy things too. The flat is quiet, comfortable, with well stocked kitchen and charming touches. Rae and Jamie were great, very responsive and early check-in worked out perfect for us. Loved our stay here!

Great spot in a safe neighborhood

We really enjoyed our weeklong stay at this apartment. It was equipped with everything we needed, and we were able to drive to pretty much all over San Francisco from this location. There were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Finding parking along the streets in the evenings was the only tricky thing, but we managed. The landlord was helpful in setting us up when we arrived. We accidentally left an item behind, and he was able to find it and had it shipped back to us. We would definitely stay here again!

Our names are Michael and Rae. Rae grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved out of state when she married Michael. Michael is a retired high school science teacher and Rae still works in health care. Our son, Jamie, has called San Francisco home for 22 years. He lives on site, manages Duncan St retreat and is able to assist with your stay. We are world travelers and have stayed at VRBO properties in the past.

We chose Noe Valley for it's sunny location and small neighborhood feel. Marta & Bros Coffee is a few steps away as are restaurants and shopping. No need for a car; public transportation is 1 1/2 blocks away.
