Escapade Northern Lights - Près du Blue Lagoon

Bel et spacieux appartement 1 chambre dans cette belle villa en bord de mer. Un endroit parfait pour voir les aurores boréales - aurores boréales (de septembre à avril) dans une zone de campagne isolée sans éclairage extérieur.
Une maison confortable et de caractère. Il est situé sur une grande propriété privée avec une vue exceptionnelle sur l'océan et la montagne, et avec une plage privée.
Tout inclus. Internet haut débit. Bain à remous / jacuzzi. La maison et son cadre magnifique ont été utilisés dans la réalisation de films et la photographie professionnelle. La propriété a été récompensée par la municipalité de Vogar pour la propreté. Situé sur la péninsule de Reykjanes sur le côté sud-ouest de l'île. La maison est extrêmement bien située dans un quartier très calme au bord de l'eau. Proche de toutes les principales attractions telles que le célèbre Blue Lagoon, (à 15 minutes). La capitale Reykjavik est à 30 minutes (centre-ville). L'observation des baleines dure 20 min. une façon. L'aéroport est à 20 minutes. Ceci est une fabuleuse zone d'observation des oiseaux. Un endroit vraiment magnifique.

The house was just perfect for my husband and myself. We had the whole basement to ourselves. It had a kitchen and a full size living room. The house was located about 15 min. from the Blue Lagoon and the KEF airport. Loved staying here. Great ocean view.

A beautiful house on the coast, away from the city but still very convenient for getting to the sites, Reykjavik, and the airport. It was exactly as advertised and the hosts were very accommodating during our visit. I would highly recommend!

This was the most amazing place to stay for the beginning of our honeymoon! The views are breathtaking, especially during sunset. The host was kind and welcoming. The place was clean and very spacious for the two of us. The location is perfect, close to the city, but still quiet and off the beaten path. Highly recommend staying here.

Anna was great and very kind, even as we showed up very tired and not excited to talk. The property is beautiful! The apartment is very spacious, we used the kitchen for several meals for our short stay and enjoyed it!

This property in Iceland made for a very pleasant stay. The home was clean, comfortable, and very thoughtfully designed, with everything prepared for a relaxing visit. The hosts were attentive and helpful, communicating clearly and making sure any questions or needs were addressed in a timely manner. They are simply just the kind of people you want to know. The location offered beautiful scenery and convenient access to many of the area’s natural sites. It was a quiet spot, ideal for unwinding after a day of exploring local attractions. It's close to KEF airport so after a long flight, it was nice not to have to drive extensively. Overall, it was a very positive experience and a nice opportunity to appreciate this part of Iceland. My wife and I were most impressed.

Best Kept Secret

Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful sharing their house and time with us. Their historic home and location couldn’t have been more perfect for day trips to the Golden Circle or southern coast. I only wish I had had more time to spend in this idyllic place.

Perfect Honeymoon Getaway

Absolutely stunning! This property is off the beaten path, away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and tourists but centrally located between the airport and city. Immaculately clean, very spacious and private. The host, Anna, is very responsive and helpful with hints on where to visit given weather conditions. We could not have asked for a better trip!

Great Location

My husband and I had a wonderful stopover in Iceland. We spent 4 nights at this VRBO after traveling through Italy. It was relaxing and a much needed part of our vacation. The host is wonderful, she made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is beautiful, the home was very clean and had everything we could need. We will definitely be returning there for a longer trip.

Amazing location

The host was super friendly and helpful. She messaged back extremely quickly whenever we had questions. Although the apartment is located on the lower level of the house, it gets a lot of daylight and you feel as if you’re staying in an alone standing apartment. The location is an absolute dream and you can see the northern lights from the backyard.

Everything was wony

The sunrises and sunset and northern lights were amazing. The apartment was cozy and comfortable and we would will stay there again if we get another opportunity. Anna was warm and friendly and helped us plan our days for maximum use.

A Little Slice of Heaven

Our 4 days in this spectacular property beside the sea was a highlight of our summer holiday. The apartment was beautifully appointed with gorgeous views of the ocean. Anna's hospitality was warm and laid-back. The property is perfectly situated between Reykjavik and the Blue Lagoon. I plan to return with my husband!

Great homebase for us!

We spent a week in Iceland and this served as a great homebase for us. The host is extremely friendly and on-site, upstairs for anything that comes up. It's tucked away but both near the airport (20 min drive) and near the main town of Reykjavik (25 min drive), and it worked really well for our trips to other parts of the country. Being right by the water, we got used to the birds all around... and the host dog is super friendly! Our stay was a great example of Icelandic hospitality - thank you!

Nice gateway!

It was worth the stay! Jacuzzi made all the difference for us. After cold adventures day we were able to sit and warm up our body's for the night! Kitchen and everything had everything you need! Anna, the owner was very helpful and friendly! One thing is that you can hear the owners walk upstairs in the early morning. This one bedroom place is in the basement. Perfect Place To Start Our Iceland Tour

First of all, it was very easy to find, 20 minutes up the coast from KEF airport, and in a beautiful location. We were close enough to Reykjavik to see and do everything we wanted to there while still being in the country. I played three rounds of golf at wonderful courses that were also well within 45 minutes of the property. Our hosts were very friendly and ready to answer any questions about the area. The kitchen had everything that we needed, the bed was comfortable, the living area also comfortable and there was a large property that could be enjoyed. No issues whatsoever - highly recommended.

Hosts with the most!

Anna and Birgir are such amazing hosts. They give you your privacy but are available to visit, if you’re so inclined. We had a number of very full days where we came home and went straight to bed. It is so quiet and the bed is SO VERY comfortable! But we also had a few nights where we came home early and Anna invited us for coffee. What lovely people! They gave us such amazing information about the island and they are just excellent hosts. Birgir have us an amazing tour of their church an told us all about the architecture and history behind everything in it. It is spectacular. The entire property is just glorious. The ocean and grounds are just incredible. You couldn’t get a better place to stay! It’s so close to everything and it is just a great choice. We will be back and we will be staying here again!! Thank you Anna and Birgir- you are the best hosts ever.

AMAZING HUMANS

I had the most incredible stay at the Ocean Front Villa in Vogar, Iceland! From the moment I arrived, Ana made me feel so welcome with her warmth and hospitality. She was incredibly sweet and attentive, ensuring that everything I needed was taken care of. The property itself was absolutely stunning, nestled right by the ocean, it offered breathtaking views and the perfect tranquil escape. The villa was cozy yet spacious, with tasteful decor that made it feel like a home away from home. One of the highlights of my stay was Moa, the lovely dog who became my buddy throughout the trip. Her playful nature added an extra layer of joy to the experience. The location is perfect for those wanting to explore the Blue Lagoon and experience the magic of the Northern Lights, I ended up extending my trip because I loved the area so much! The peaceful surroundings, coupled with the villa's comfort, made it hard to leave. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat in Iceland with a touch of local charm, this is the place to stay. I can’t recommend it enough!

Northern Lights Villa

The apartment is very comfortable! Decorated very nicely, has everything you need. Very clean, which we really appreciated! The hosts were amazing! Anna answered all our questions, helped us plan outings and even brought us the most delicious carrot cake♥️ Their dog Moa, came to visit us every morning and night, which we strongly encouraged because we missed our own fur babies. The hot tub was so nice to relax in at night. One of the best parts was seeing the northern lights! We saw them almost every night, which we were told was unusual for this time of year (early September). Anna and her husband would come knock on our door to let us know the northern lights were out and we were just mesmerized as they covered the sky. Being out by the ocean and away from town, I think made it easier to see them. Such a great place to stay! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality Anna! We highly recommend this place to anyone.

A must stay location

I don't think there is a better location to stay in the area. The ocean front view and the lovely owners made it all enjoyable. Our check-in process was simple - the owner was home and provided a key but it would have been available through a simple lockbox otherwise. We were able to walk around the property and onto their private beach area. The wind was intense at times but worth enduring for the lovely northern lights and landscape views. Proximity to the airport was great - we also rented from Lotus Rental Car and had a great experience for anyone looking for a reliable (but not cheap) option. Platinum insurance is recommended. We put in the wrong address to begin because we are accustomed to homes not having a name so I completely disregarded it. That cost us a 250 tow - we recommend using the name of the home in Google maps (Apple didn't do as well).The accommodations were fantastic. Comfortable bed, spacious rooms for two people. WiFi worked perfectly as my husband worked while we were there. He used MS Teams and I used Zoom simultaneously. We were able to watch YouTube without issue and the host offered a lot of DVDs as an alternative. If you are lucky enough to meet their dog, she is a darling. Seems to enjoy a good rub!A couple of restaurants to consider about 45 minutes away - Snaps and Krost in Reykjavik. We also drove a distance to Husavik and enjoyed seeing the landscape changes on our drive - consider booking a whale watching experience when in town.

Well equipped, cozy apartment

We had a great stay in the apartment. It is well equipped and spacious, located on the ground floor with an outdoor Jacuzzi. When we arrived the key was in a keybox outside but the landlord came nevertheless to introduce and show us around, which surprised me on the wrong foot but was a very kind and nice gesture. During our 10 Day stay we were able to use the playstation and the big movie DVD collection, the garden and the sea access, the jacuzzi and enjoyed the somewhat remote and calm location! There is very little traffic on the road nearby, the house itself is alone on a gigantic piece of property so enough parking space 😉 Nevertheless it takes only about 20 min each to reach Keflavik or Reykjavik and even the golden circle tour or blue lagoon can be reached from there. However we were both irritated that Anna must have come into the apartment in the middle of our stay to swap some towels and stuff. We were not aware this would happen and surprised by it, would not have needed fresh towels either. I think that is a very good service for longer stays, but I would have felt better if we knew it would happen or would have been announced to us or sth like that. My partner liked the house dog very much, which was sometimes playing or chillin’ in the garden. It occasionally barked at our car when we were leaving, but never bothered us. Really nice to have these beautiful animals around and that it can play on such big ground! All in all we loved to stay here!

The ocean view was outstanding, the accommodations were perfect, our hosts were perfect. The hot tub was great under the weather circumstances. If interested, you might ask Birgir for a tour of is little church on the property. It was precious.
