Bacta Haus 3br/3ba+Loft walk to Village & Canyon

The Bacta Haus (TOT #10131 / TOML-CPAN-10335) is a spacious 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom, plus loft condo corner unit located a short walk from the Village and Canyon Lodge in the heart of Mammoth Lakes. This full unit has been renovated with love and care to be the basecamp for adventures, while providing everything you need to relax and recharge. The unit features a cozy living room with comfy couches perfect for kicking back and watching the fire dance in the fireplace or the 80 inch massive smart TV. The fully equipped kitchen, with granite countertops is fully stocked with all the dishware you could need. We even have some kids plates for the little ones. Don't worry we also have enough wine glasses and whiskey glasses for the adults. The dining area features a live edge wood table that is perfect for good conversations and even better food.

There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor. The master has a king size bed and full private master bath. The second bedroom has a bunk bed (twin on top and full on bottom). There is also an additional full bathroom on the first floor.

Upstairs, you will find a washer and dryer, another full bathroom, and space for the kids to play. The third bedroom located upstairs has a queen bed and the loft area has two additional twin beds.

The complex has a hot tub and assigned underground parking. Please note, the clearance in the garage is only 6'6" so the big vehicles will have to park outside on a first come first serve basis. The town shuttle stops right in front of the unit.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

Awesome ski trip spot

My group of friends and I stayed at Bacta Haus for a Mammoth ski weekend. The condo was amazing for our group and Mike and Denise were quick to respond and provide info about the check-in process. The location is great, right next to the town shuttle stop as well as a short walk to both Canyon Lodge and the Village.

Most family friendly stay ever

We LOVED our stay at Bacta Haus. Even before our trip, Mike and Denisse were so accommodating with requests and answering questions. This is also by far the most family friendly place we have stayed— and that’s saying a lot given we had 3 adults and 4 kids (ages 10, 7, 4 and 1)! The kids could have happily played with the games and sofa fort the entire time, which came in handy on an especially snowy day, but we loved how close we were to the village and snow park for when we did venture out. We hope to make a stay here an annual tradition!

Good value for the space. A little outdated as far as building and furnishing but clean and everything was in good working order. very fast communication. Location was good. Good amount of space.

Had a crew in Mammoth for work, The unit was perfect for our group with everything we needed. Showers were nice and hot, plenty of room to hang out in our down time. The host were very easy to contact and answer any questions. Large electric fireplace below the Large TV was a nice feature. Plenty of dishes, towells and comfortable beds. We'll come again.

Family trip

Just a few suggestions.. overall it was a great trip.. the condo was ok but I would suggest a few extras like laundry soap if you have a washer and dryer provided…. and the toilet paper was horrible definitely spend the extra few dollars and get better quality toilet paper. And a few Tupperware or food storage items.

Tiffany, thank you for your review. Firstly, we are sincerely sorry your stay was not excellent. We will absolutely take your suggestions to heart. We have had a lot of trouble with our laundry detergent, Tupperware and other items; we keep putting them out and guests seem to take them. We had a full large bag of laundry pods but I suppose someone left with them. That said, it is 100% our responsibility to make sure they are replaced before guests arrive. Sorry we missed it. If you ever decide to stay with us again, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via phone, text, email or through the app to help fix these items during your stay. I’m always happy to come or send someone to drop off items that will make your stay more enjoyable. Sorry again we missed these items on your stay.

Wonderful week in mammoth

My family of six came to Mammoth for a week and stayed at the Bacta Haus. The beds were super comfortable. There was plenty of room for the six of us. The blue line bus stop was right out front to take us to, and from the village and Canyon Lodge. The walk to the village was too far for our kids. Michael was so kind to also let us check in early. He was super easy and prompt with communication. We were there for a major storm so having covered parking was a huge plus. We cooked every meal and enjoyed lots of board games and watching TV at night. The house has been well loved and could use some minor updates, but other than that, the place was great. The laundry and the Jacuzzi were also a huge plus. It was nice to be on the top floor as well as on the end so it was extremely quiet. We loved our stay and plan to come back.

Denisse and Michael have been coming to Mammoth Lakes for decades and once their two little kids were old enough to be on snowboards, they decided it was time to have a place of their own. They bought the Bacta Haus in 2022 and spent the next year renovating their little slice of happiness. Michael is a skier and retired rock climber who loves to cook up feasts for his family. Denisse could have been on the El Salvadorian surf team but decided to go to med school instead. She loves snowboarding in the winter and hiking in the summer.
