Disappointment

Pictures online of the exterior are obviously nicer. Remodled inside is tastefully done, but we arrived to find a dirty house - it was clear that it was not swept or vacuumed after the last renters (however long that may have been) as there were random pieces of trash strewn about the floor of the house, dirty countertops and dishes, sheets in the front bedroom that my 4 year old was going to sleep in had boogers or snot on them (hopefully! YUCK!!) Office area that I was planning on using to work remotely during our 4 night stay had a massive spider web around it, as well as in every corner of the house. Everyday I found something new that warranted an "ick..." response and I had to clean. Upon removing the trashbag in the front bathroom during checkout, I discovered someone elses dirty toenail clippings in the bottom of the can! When I contacted property management, they said they hired a new cleaning person (okay...and???) and asked if I wanted them to send this person out to clean... um, no? We shouldnt have to leave so someone can come in and do what should have been done in the first place, aside from the fact I was working. I feel sorry if the previous renter was actually charged a cleaning fee..Our stay was suppose to be a pitstop/refresher for us whilst camping in various spots along the Rim to Flagstaff, and so I could work remotely for a few days, but lets say I was glad to return to sleeping in a tent outdoors by the time we left.....

We just got home from our trip and wanted to leave a review as quickly as possible.

Rim Vacation Rentals was Awsome to work with. AWSOME! Every question was answered immediately. We were comfortable and happy as a family to spend our special holiday there. Love the cabin (House) and want to go back. It was a seamless experience

Cleanliness

Exterior is very unkempt with weeds that were knee high. Does not look like photo at all. Upon arrival at 7 pm we had to clean before unpacking. Dog hair and filth in refrigerator, dusty furniture etc. Mgmt has offered a partial refund which has not yet been received

Great interior, Clean

Roomy, clean, ideal for 1 or 2 couples. Great appliances, kitchen, bathrooms all up to date. The location is convenient to the highway, but far enough to avoid any noise. Very quiet neighborhood, but mixed with some dilapidated mobile homes and scrapyard

Red Door Cottage

This was a wonderful cabin for two couples and two dogs. Lots of space to chill - especially the front porch which both dogs loved. We were in Heber to visit family so didn’t really cook much however the kitchen was stocked very well. The beds were comfy with soft sheets. There were bowls and beds for the dogs. The AC split was a lifesaver as it was a very hot weekend. The neighbors were all nice and very quiet. The fireworks on the 4th were far enough away that the dogs weren’t super anxious. Communication with the management company was outstanding. There were no surprises and we greatly appreciated the text messages providing updated info throughout our stay. Checking out was a breeze. I would definitely recommend this cabin and if we make it back to Heber we will book again.
