Annex [studio] at a beautiful location with sea view
This is an independent space outside an isolated holiday home offering extreme privacy, in a quiet setting of stunning natural beauty, while also being within walking distance from the popular beach of Platys Gialos with shops, restaurants & bars, and a marina dock for private yachts. The house is on a 14 acre slope of private land on the sea, with 200 pistachio trees. It offers spectacular views of the Aegean Sea and the famous monastery of Chryssopigi.
The space
Sifnos is a gem of natural beauty and traditional architecture as the whole island, and not just specific places or buildings, are protected by law, as a region of outstanding natural beauty. You can make the most of it through a network of trails (sifnostrailscom). Sifnos has a long tradition in Ceramics, and still has many pottery workshops. It is also famous for itsâ gastronomic delights.
The annex is an independent space with itsâ own private entrance, outside the main house. It is 5 steps below ground level, on a slope, so it has a view to the outside areas and the sea. It includes a small en suite private bathroom, a bench-kitchenette with a kitchen sink, a small oven, a cooking surface, coffee machines, kettle, toaster etc., a refrigerator and an expandable wooden table, as well as a 43'' SONY TV (Android TV). It has an elevated double mattress and a sofa bed with two extra single mattresses, as well as a single bed. It is air conditioned and also has a ceiling fan.
WiFi connectivity and laptop-friendly workspaces are a priority for us, allowing our guests to work from home.
Internet speed according to our phone bill is up to 50Mbps, but due to limitations all over the island the actual average speed in the house is about 23 Mbps and in the annex about 18 Mbps, which is a solid WiFi speed allowing HD video streaming, as well as seamless teleconferencing, which we do extensively. The annex (studio) has got it's own WiFi network and router, securing a reliable WiFi anytime and everywhere in and around the studio.
For the outdoor areas there are fixed as well as portable tables.
Foldable umbrellas are also available.
Guest access
Guests staying in the annex have got access to the exterior spaces in front of the annex, including a small table under the shadow of a tree, all with a magnificent sea view.
When the main house is not used or rented out as a totality, guests staying in the annex may possibly be given access to the house's indoor and outdoor communal spaces and facilities, such as washing machine, kitchen complete with dishwasher, dining area, office, lounge etc..
Other things to note
In September 2025 and February, May, October and end of August 2026 all requests to book will be subject to approval by another co-owner.
During the winter months an agreement must be made to cover heating according to consumption (the metre can be checked by the guests).
Discounts are available for longer stays.
