We like to stay here for bear camp every year due to its proximity to local game lands. The place is supper comfortable and perfect for us.

My two adult children and 2 grandchildren planned a trip to Bushkill Falls and the PA Rail Biles in Hawley. We wanted to book our home between destinations and found this lovely place to stay for two consecutive weekend nights.There was plenty of room and the amenities were more than we had ever expected. The kitchen had some food items stocked and Sue made sure we knew it was okay to eat, if desired. There were so many spices available, and ones uncommon to me. The fridge was many condiments, etc!! We took our own breakfast and lunch food, and ate out the very first night with leftovers for next days lunch. There was plenty of hot water and towels/wash cloths for showers and also washing dishes!! I loved the soap and shampoo dispenser in the shower, too!! The home was very peaceful and quiet, except for someone hunting around 7 AM or sighting their gun in, but it’s that tie of year!! Oh, we had a visitor the morning we were loading up to leave!! A lone chicken was at the glass storm door, looking like it wanted to come in for a visit! My granddaughter nicely mover her away from the door so we could continue loading the car!! The leather furniture was so comfortable!! My son was the only one who tried the heated massage recliner. We were just so busy sightseeing and ready to relax at days end. We visited the Aqueduct Bridge and went the George W. Child’s State Park!! It’s such a beautiful area and much to see!! I definitely recommend Sue as a host, as we had no issues!

Check in/check out was a breeze! Sue was a great host & reached out at appropriate times. Property is cute & cozy, clean, & all furniture is very comfortable. Great peaceful place to stay when exploring the Poconos. Very family friendly, equipped with many board games & outdoor space. It was great for our family of 5!

Perfect for Hemlock Farms Guests

The location of the property was super convenient for guests of Hemlock Farms residents. My children found the house to be clean and comfortable and they were delighted by the bear theme which extended through every corner of the property. They all were enthusiastic to stay there again.

Long weekend with family

The house was cozy and located within 30 minutes of Shawnee Mountain - which is what we were looking for. The owner was responsive and proactively arranged for a plow to come through on the day of our departure following a few inches of snow.

Power went out but host kept us comfortable

Our check in date was the day that PA got 18 inches of heavy snow. The power was out before we checked in. The host communicated the outage to us and presented us with options. She even offered to put us up into a hotel but we declined. This property boarders public hunting land and was idea for my families annual hunting trip.

Dads 70th mini getaway

Myself,brother and daughter decided to take my dad away for his 70th for a weekend getaway.. this house rental is fantastic. Super clean, has all the amenities..its called bear creek lodge and daughter was happy to receive a little welcome gift. She hasn't had it leave her due. I will def be back

Bear Cottage is a cute B&B

I loved my stay in this cute cottage in the woods near Hemlock Farms and Peck’s Pond. This is a perfect spot if you’re visiting someone in Hemlock Farms!

Great stay at Bear Cabin

This was an absolutely amazing place to stay!! So nice and cozy! Lots of cute bears and decorations!! Nice space!! Our host Sue left us the cutest little bear and lots of snacks!! And she was great at communicating back and forth with me whenever I had questions!!

The property buts up to the forest and only has one neighbor next to it. So its very quiet and peaceful place to stay. Lots of hiking and Pecks Pond is a walk away. Plenty of private parking and a very spacious living room and back yard.
