Welcome to Sherbet Lane. Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located cottage, .5 miles from the beach. Makin’ Waved is a peaceful space accented with coastal decor. We offer complimentary cold water, hot coffee plus a light breakfast which includes ingredients to make waffles or hot oatmeal.

Our keyless entry and brightly lit patio provides safety when coming in after dark. Full laundry services inside every cottage. Our entire home is your home, even it’s for only a few days! We want you to relax and enjoy your stay on Galveston Island. This cottage is in the ground level. There is a unit upstairs that hosts other guests. Guests have access to the entire bottom level of this home.
Guests have access to the entire backyard!

Bikers can lock their bikes behind our fence for safety. You can see the cruise ships arriving from our front porch! Very easy access for cruisers.

Stayed for new student conference A&M

Property was close in proximity to the cruise ports, A&M, The Strand and and good food. Cute place. Close attention to detail and lovely beds. Cutely decorated. Water and pizza (for purchse) was lovely after a long, stressful day. The beds were very comfortable, the AC units kept all of the spaces very cool. The neighborhood was fairly quiet except the last night we stayed. There was a brawl outside the door on the street complete with probably 20 people, cars sideways in the street, lots of yelling and pushing. It was a little scary having traveled alone with my son.Host was very responsive and helful with any issues I had. I would stay again.

Perfect Spot to stay in Galveston

Very clean, have everything you need when you are away from home. I was impress with the level of comfort and attention to detail. This was the second time I stayed at this home. The host are great.

The property was very very cute. Within walking distance to Carnival cruise port & within walking distance to downtown. However the cottage was so very cold, with our party having to layer when going to bed. It would be great in the summer & fall but I would not recommend it for a winter rental! We did use the heater supplied, & that did help but we ended up wrapping ourselves in blankets and watching a full season of Brookline 99 on Netflix to keep warm.

This place is adorable. The host has not forgotten ANY detail. Prob the most well-thought amenities I’ve ever experienced, from the Bathroom, to the rooms, to the kitchen, and consumables!! Parking was right in front of the home, it was very clean, and host was extremely responsive. Excellent property!

Such a sweet little cottage, a perfect spot for us to gather before the cruise. Owners were very accommodating and the cottage is decorated so nice. We loved it!

This cottage is perfect! It is nicely decorated and comfortable. Parking right outside is great, if I were in a hotel, I'd have to leave my room, walk through the lobby and then to my car which depending on hotel occupancy, could be quite the walk. Thanks for a memorable experience!

No peace

Nice older house in rundown neighborhood. Extremely loud concert music down the street played for many hours, lots of loud racing cars coming and going, no peace . We were forced to leave had to leave early.

We love Galveston. It's an interesting and fun island. There is a lot to do in the area and our property is centrally located, so we are close to everything. We personally suggest having a vehicle when you stay. This island is large and walking would be tiresome.

Our neighborhood is a multi-cultural neighborhood, centrally locally in Galveston. Because it's centrally located, you will sometime hear the sounds of sirens. In addition, our neighbors across the way enjoy the island vibe which includes listening to music and hosting small gatherings. They typically turn their music down by 9:00pm. When you're inside the home, you can barely hear the music. If you are sensitive to sounds, our property may not be the best option. If you enjoy experiencing liveliness and ethic diversity, then our property is perfect.

In addition to all the fun but classy beach-themed touches throughout the cottage, we have also included 4 satin robes. Makin' Waves is perfect for a fun staycation, the weekend cruiser, a birthday celebration, the annual girls trip, or that romantic getaway! We know your stay in Galveston will be a sweet adventure. Hopefully, you'll find our home relaxing and stress free. We have stocked our kitchen full of coffee, tea and water. Along with a few breakfast items to start your day.
