Gravel Bike Camp Sherman

We stayed at the cabin for three nights, it was awesome, especially sitting on the deck each morning with coffee and each evening for dinner and drinks. Thanks for having us. we loved it and will surely be back.

Perfect location to relax

The Metolius River is one of nature’s wonders. Being able to stay in a cabin and listen to its healing sounds and walk along its banks is a gift. The cabin is comfortable and welcoming. There were a few technical glitches with the cabin. We never could figure out how to work the tv, and the first night we were without cell coverage due to outdated information left in the cabin. The Metolius River Resort manager was very helpful and we connected the next morning, but we never heard back from the local contact person.

Perfect cabin for 4 adults, excellent location. We got lucky with the weather for an early spring trip, it was perfect weather. The cabin is fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes and utensils but if you don’t want to cook just walk a few steps to Hola!

Relaxing, friendly environment

Everyone from grandma& grandpa to teenagers had a wonderful time. Trout were caught, games were played, hikes were taken and we stayed in beautiful and very well outfitted cabin # 2.

Family Reunion

The cabin was delightful and relaxing along the Metolius River. Beautifully furnished. My only suggestion would be for better housekeeping. The floors were very dirty (old spaghetti sauce spilled) Many of the dishes had to be rewashed - not clean. The deck had obviously not been swept for a long time. Also, the futon upstairs is broken and needs to be fixed. Other than that, it was a great time and everyone loved it.

Thank you. Great stay. Loved the view, the grassy common area and the deck was so relaxing. The chairs and blankets for star viewing was really well thought out and that was great. Inviting and helpful staff welcomed and answered our questions. Very welcoming to come to the cabin.

The cabin was perfectly located ...we loved all the things. It was also well stocked including some spices and great cooking utensils which came in handy. Will definitely stay here again.

Down by the river.

The river side setting is lovely. Though it was super hot, the cabin stayed cool because it was well shaded. The cabin was clean and quiet. The internet is kind of slow and there is no cell phone coverage.

Fantastic location and ammenities.

A warm, inviting and comfortable cabin that easily accommodated a family of five, including 3 teenagers. The location was amazing sitting right on the Metolius River, and the quaint Camp Store across the river bridge added to the unique charm.

Wonderful cabin in the woods!

This was a great get-away for my family. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was neat, tidy and clean. The easy access to the river was wonderful and we enjoyed hikes along the water. We also went into Sisters, a short drive away. Hope we can come back soon!

A piece of heaven

There is no place on earth like Camp Sherman and the Metolius River. Would highly recommend this. Most cell phones do not work there, which is what makes it so different. You focus on who you're with, what you're doing and can stay in the moment for hours. Everyone should step off the grid in a place like this.
