Grinnell Chalet

Come kick back and relax with us on Elk Ridge! Elk Ridge is located on 10 acres at the top of Martin City. The property gets its name after the 40 head of elk that frequent the property year round. We also have many other wildlife animals that come in to visit. We are a short 8mile drive to West GNP and a 2mile drive to the Hungry Horse Reservoir. We are the perfect weekend getaway or for hosting your special day. We have bear spray for rent and firewood for purchase.
The space
Grinnell is an beautiful modern/rustic style cabin with plenty of natural light. There is a master bedroom on the first floor with a queen bed. The living room, kitchen and restroom are also located on the first floor. The stair case leads to the loft that overlooks the living area. In the loft are two queen beds.
Guest access
You can drive, walk or ride your bike.
Other things to note
If you see me around the property feel free to say hey and ask questions. The horse love attention and we always have carrots and apples on hand if you want to treat them. Please do not go inside the pasture though. Thank you!

The location and proximity to glacier is amazing. The space was perfect for 4 adults, and would’ve easily fit 6. We loved the property and visiting the animals!!

This is a beautiful little house on a beautiful property. The house is super clean and well-appointed. Everything looks brand new. Beds are all very comfortable. Very convenient to the west entrance of GNP. I would highly recommend!!!

Amazing location and a wonderful place to stay for us as a family of six with plenty of room. Had a great time visiting the surrounding area and spending time in Glacier National Park. Did a lot of hiking in the surrounding area around where we stayed. The kids loved exploring the property and spending time with the animals too. Wonderful host and wonderful property! Highly recommended!

beautiful landscaping. private. nice layout. no entry code given so we had to search and knock which was a bit awkward but it worked out. overall a great experience and met our expectations and the photos and listing. loved the friendly property dogs!

Glacier Trip

Great location near GNP, food, groceries, yet secluded and quiet. Host was great, and fun to have dogs, chickens on-site. House was perfectly decorated and had unexpected nice touches. Would stay again!

Glacier Paradise

Great “tiny home” to stay in when visiting Glacier National Park! The property is quiet, well equipped with everything you need, and only a 20ish min to the entrance of Glacier. We loved it and would stay here again.

Great Cabin, Lasting Memories

The cabin was by far one of the nicest we have stayed in. Our kids had a great time with the dogs, horses and goats that were on the property. Shilo (the host) was very accommodating and even let our kids feed her horses and mules! We will never forget the great time we had staying at Elk Ridge!

This was the perfect place for our family of 5 to stay for our trip to Glacier. We loved the house and the outdoor space. We all enjoyed playing with the sweet dogs on the property. So many thoughtful touches including wood and bear spray for purchase. Wished we could have stayed one more night! If we ever go to Glacier we will stay here again!

Grinnell Chalet was a great place for us to stay as we visited Glacier National Park. It was a quick drive to the west entrance of the park. The property was as described, great for our use, and very clean. My wife and I stayed in the bedroom and there are two more beds up in a loft area that our adult children used. The beds were very comfortable. If there is a downfall to this property, it is that there is only one bathroom. We simply altered our schedules a bit, some showering at night, etc. to make it work. That said, the bathroom is very nice and updated. The host seems to be always paying attention if you reach out as there was always a very quick response to any questions. The property even had bear spray to rent so you didn't have to go buy your own at 60/can. While we didn't use the kitchen area much, there is a kitchen and supplies for use. Besides the Chalet, the property the Chalet is located on was great as well. The property has many animals on it, which even my adult kids loved, I would imagine younger children would think this is incredible. Horses, goats, chickens, dogs...none of which are in the way, but are there to be looked at and enjoyed if you like. We really enjoyed our time at this property! Thank you!

This was a perfect and beautiful place to stay for our family of 6! Everything was immaculate and clean and the property was beautiful. My kids enjoyed running around the yard and visiting the goats and horses. It’s also quick drive the west entrance of Glacier.
