Great value option in Salem. Walking distance to some shops/restaurants, though downtown Salem itself is a bit of a hike. Quiet neighborhood, easy on-street parking, easy check-in.Space is large and comfortable, though somewhat lacking in overall furnishings/amenities beyond the basics. Access to the unit is through a fairly tight, winding staircase - wasn't a problem for us, but worth noting.Overall, I read this property as a great value for the money - it's not 5 stars in terms of amenities, but the relative cost and favorable location make up for that. Highly recommended, would stay again.

Everything was as advertised. Very clean, spacious and met all our expectations and thensome. Beds were very comfortable too! Very close to main attractions (15 min walk) and food and convenience stores nearby. Highly reccomend!

We stayed on the third floor. It was clean, comfortable beds and plenty of towels. It was about a 15 minute walk to the museums. It was just what we needed for our short stay in Salem.

Nice quiet location. Walking distance to everything and can Uber if it’s not close distance. Very comfortable. Both beds were super cozy. Had a good amount of bathroom towels. Has AC too. Would stay here again.

We had an amazing stay! Area was very quiet. Stairs to the third floor are a bit on the skinny side. We were there on the hottest day so far and house was very cool. Owners were very nice.

Home was clean and check in was easy. I like that we were able to get into the property at 2:00 pm and not 4:00 pm like others I have stayed in. It is a 3rd floor walk up so be ready for that! Once upstairs the place is very spacious and looks just like the pictures!! Bedrooms were nice sized as well!! We did get scared with a few noises from the fridge but we expected to hear a few noises at night in a place in Salem!

Comfortable and close to everything

Two comfy beds and some futons made for a great home base while exploring Salem. Easy to walk to all the things and felt safe during the day and night. We had a great time and hope to be back!

Easy instructions to get into the apartment, we were on the third floor. Great amenities, and it was a nice quiet place. Nice furnishings as well.

Wonderful Stay at Historic Home in Salem

We were very happy with our stay at this property. The rooms are spacious, clean and well lit. There was some minor confusion when we arrived, but the owner responded quickly and helped us get settled. Great space! Thank you for hosting us.

This apartment was perfect for what my friend and I needed. It’s a spacious 2 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor of the house. As other comments mentioned, the stairs are narrow but wasn’t a big deal for us. There’s a full sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, sink, and keurig with an assortment of coffee available. It was equipped with everything we needed. There’s central air (A/C) that worked great and kept the place cool. We loved that there’s parking available behind the house. The proximity to everything in Salem was great. It took us about 15 min to get to Essex. The owner was very quick to respond through the VRBO chat if we had questions about anything. Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The shower liner was very moldy. The shower poll was so rusty. The description on the website said stovetop and dishwasher and soap and shampoo provided well none of that. Only shampoo was mens shampoo. You paid a cleaning fee not sure what they cleaned so many dust bunnies around the place, the tub needed some clorlox bleach. You can not use toaster oven and microwave at the same time or the hot water pot. The 3rd floor is very roomy.

Pros: parking lot in back, easy to find. Lovely neighbourhood. Huge accommodation! Cons: further fr downtown than expected although we had a lovely walk. Only 1 mirror in the whole apt! Lol!lovely walk.

Close to everything

Visited Salem this week, we booked pretty close to the trip so we knew we weren't looking for something super fancy. This worked well for me and my friend, it's basic but does the trick. Beds are comfy and having somewhere to park was great. Location is close to everything. Only thing I would keep in mind is the stairs to the unit are narrow and steep so anyone with mobility issues may have an issue. Easy check in would stay again

The bedrooms were nice and big very simple decor. The plants in the area were inviting. There were a few things I didn’t like. 1. There was a closet off the living room with the hvac system, it was very loud when it kicked on and was on quite often. 2. There was a lot of water damage in the bathroom that had been painted over. The fan must not work or something because even when it’s on the humidity stays in the room. 3. Most importantly the door to the stairs which leads to the room didn’t lock unless you were inside. The key would not lock the door. You could only use a chain lock when inside the room to lock the door. It was nice because it was close to attractions, about a 15-20 min walk. The place cost way too much for the condition of the space!
