This 1870s German Village home is filled with modern essentials and is so close to everything in Columbus, Ohio.

10 min drive to OSU.

This 2 floor home was built in the 1870s, so please be mindful of the original hardwood floors, and interior brick.

The bottom floor has a living room with a couch (sleeps 1 comfortably) large dining space, dedicated workspace, full kitchen, 2 seater bar, and bathroom.

Access to the back porch is from the kitchen, where you will find 4 chairs and an outdoor table. The string lights can be plugged in outside next to the door to light up this space.

The upstairs is where you will find both bedrooms.

The master bedroom has a queen bed (sleeps 2), and a master bathroom with 2 sinks, a shower, and jacuzzi tub. Fire up those jets! :)

The 2nd bedroom has a twin bed (sleeps 1), and a queen bed (sleeps 2).

Both bedrooms have spacious closets with hangers as well.

The guests will be able to access the entire home and the 1 car garage attached to the house. One door on the first floor is a locked utility closet.

The 1 car garage is currently in its original state from over 140 years ago. It opens and closes like barn doors and fits 1 sedan or SUV.

*If you drive a large truck it would be a tight fit pulling in from the alley, so we recommend using street parking.

I liked this property very much as well as the atmosphere of German Village.Access to the city center and interstate highways are superb.I will come back to this property if visiting this area in the future.

The place is in a great location and it has a lot of character. The bedrooms and bathroom upstairs have been updated.We only stayed one night as a midpoint stop for a long drive. We are happy that we are staying here again on our drive home.

Personal opinion based on recent experience. The owner's lack of communication and responsiveness when we tried to reach out before our stay made the process unnecessarily stressful. We had to call the owner a couple of times to get the door code. We received bad instructions on how to locate the property. The owner failed to inform us that the GPS doesn't help much. The house was extremely bare. One set of towels for two bathrooms; the TV remote was broken; and there was always a light on upstairs. The heat doesn't work very well, especially upstairs, and there are very few pieces of kitchenware.

Well to say this was a stressful experience is not a lie! We did not receive our property access info until 1 hour before check in. We contacted the host and he informed us there was some tecnical difficulties with vrbo and they lost our reservation. The place was not cleaned but he rushed to make it right the best he could. We had to wait until 5:30 while they cleaned but the host explained what happened and offered to cancel with a full refund. When we explained we had no where else to go, he gave us a good discount for our trouble. We all tried to make the best of a bad situation. The place is comfortable for a nights stay and within walking distance of several restaurants. Parking is a bit tricky so be prepared! I didnt get the impression this was a normal occurance so I wouldnt let this experience detour you from booking. Just make sure you confirm everything with the host!

Beds were clean and comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. Our car fit into the small garage and we were thankful for it. The hosts were helpful, kind, and quick to respond to communication. Home would be perfect for a small family traveling in a small vehicle, maybe with a small pet (yard is fenced).

Very beautiful home with some very beautiful original features. Well cared for. My children and I had a wonderful time. We were able to visit all the places I loved when I was growing up in Columbus. The owners did a wonderful job of having everything ready. We didn’t need to ask for anything. Would love to be able to stay here again.

Overall, the stay was satisfactory for a one-night stay. The location is in an alley, and parking is inconvenient, as we had to park three blocks away since the garage they included is only for small cars. They said it has A/C, and while it was cool on the first floor, it was quite warm upstairs where the bedroom was, but they provided a fan, so that was helpful. Upon entering the house, it had a strong cleaning smell that caused some discomfort for us with sensitive smell. The closet in the upstairs bedroom had a deadbolt that only a key could open, and the light was still on inside, so it bothered us just a bit. Other than that, it is a neat neighborhood for shopping.

Cute property in the heart of German Village, central to attractions. Check in process was easy and host accommodated our slightly earlier check in that was appreciated. House is older and Keurig machine didn’t work but overall it was fine for a one night stay.

A very cute and cozy place to stay. Only stayed for one night, but we would have gladly stayed longer! Very close to The Bluestone, which was a plus. A quick 6 min drive back after our concert.

Great stay!

Perfect place for 5 of us! We loved it. Cozy, clean, and cute! We ventured out a lot for most of our visit, but always came back to somewhere comfortable! Hosts were awesome with communication.

German Village simply is the best place to live/visit in Columbus. It is so peaceful and historic. Yet also in the heart of one of the fastest growing cities in the country, Columbus.

Well, to start it was built in the 1870s, has its original flooring and walls, and was one of the first houses in German Village. Outside of its historical standing, it is in such an ideal location to major freeways so you can get anywhere in Columbus conveniently.
