Get away from it all and explore your own slice of the Ohio wilderness at this 2-bathroom 1 bedroom custom rustic cabin. This Patriot vacation rental is very secluded and is the perfect retreat for hiking, fishing, hunting, and relaxing in nature. Bring a boat and hit the water at Timber Ridge Lake or Raccoon Creek, fire up the gas grill to cook dinner, then head inside to warm up by the wood-burning stove. End the night unwinding on the porch watching deer and wildlife or stargazing by the fire pit. If you long for peace and quiet and disconnect from the fast pace life then here you go!

A real feeling of being alone in the woods, but with internet, fantastic indoor plumbing (hot water!!), and just an overall amazing space to relax in.

First, the Host was prompt to correspond with and accommodating to my circumstance. Booking and check in was very easy. I had limited cell service and used the WiFi. They have cut wood for the wood burning stove and fire pit. I absolutely loved the loft sleeping area! It was peaceful, secluded, and felt safe inside the locked gate. Even got to see some wildlife. Remember to bring bath soap/shampoo and there are no mirrors. Bring bug/tick spray and sturdy shoes/boots if you plan to wander in the woods. I was glad to have a truck for the hills and unpaved roads immediately around the property. Gorgeous property. I absolutely plan to stay here again!

The property was an awesome getaway, very remote and serene. It is everything that you would dream of when staying in a cabin, and the cabin was very clean. We saw deer and birds from the front porch, and we enjoyed the hot tub during our stay. It was just like camping in the woods, with all the amenities of a small house. Gate and house entry was a breeze, and there is Wi-Fi available on the property if you need it. The host was very hospitable and answered our questions and texts in a timely manner. We would stay here again and highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to stay in "the great outdoors".

The stay was amazing and everything was better than advertised. There have been quite a few updates that the pictures don’t show. It was quiet and peaceful and exactly what we needed. We even had baby deer in the front yard grazing every evening!

We truly enjoyed our stay and got the rest and relaxation we were looking for. We would stay here again. We were a little bummed for the cleaning fee considering the shower looked used (hair/bodily hair) on the shower walls and dirt on the shower floor. We also had a hard time fitting our food in the fridge. The shelves were dirty and had a half gallon of used milk, cherry tart juice, a dozen eggs, opened, half used coffee creamer. We ended up living out our cooler that we had brought as we didn't plan to leave the cabin all weekend. Truly we had a decent time, just a little bummed.

Incredibly secluded & peaceful.

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It's secluded and you will likely not have cell service when you get there - so it may be helpful to screenshot some instructions and directions before you get there! It's very safe and secure, and there are acres upon acres for you to enjoy and explore. I can't wait to come back and spend some more time here very soon!

Best secluded place I have ever been!

We had an amazing time staying here! It was so secluded—we didn’t see or hear another soul for miles. We spotted so many deer, squirrels, birds, rabbits, and even some curious trash pandas (raccoons) snacking under the bird feeder at night! The deer were completely unafraid of us—we even had a doe and two fawns walk right past us outside the cabin.The trails were absolutely beautiful, and we enjoyed walking them every evening. The cabin itself was small, cozy, and quaint, and the girls loved the loft!Craig, you have an incredible place—thank you so much for letting us stay!

We have 50 private acres surrounded by large landowners at the end of a township gravel road. No light pollution at night allows for great star gazing. If you want seclusion and privacy this is it. We are 1 mile from raccoon creek and 2 miles from Wayne National Forest. 8 miles from the Ohio River.
