Beautiful place to relax and release those creative juices you've been ignoring. Great place to do outdoor landscape painting. Acrylic paints, brushes provided at no cost to guests. Art studio and pool are 24/7. Featuring amazing sea views of Vieques Island and El Yunque Rain Forest. Swim & Paint Art Retreat provides accommodations with a patio and a coffee machine. This self-catered apartment features an infiniti-style pool, amazing gardens and free private parking. Free wifi and washer,/dryer privileges. New air conditioning and solar power. There is a campsite a half acre away you may access with fire pit.
RENTAL CAR HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (Otherwise you'll spend a lot on taxis and Ubers.)

The apartment features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, sofa bed couch. bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace with city views. Nature preserve and eastern beaches 15 minutes away. Cocal Beach 30 minutes away.

The nearest international airport is Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, 30 miles from Swim & Paint Art Retreat.

La habitación estaba muy limpia al igual que el baño. La cocina estaba equipada. La piscina es muy linda y amplia para nadar. El propietario fue muy amable, nos dio un recorrido de las instalaciones y nos explicó todo lo que necesitåbamos saber. Definitivamente volveremos

First off, Tom is a great host. He is an artist and has a small studio outside where he paints. Second, the pool is great. The grounds are lush and well kept. You also have access to the BBQ. Bring ear plugs because like the rest of Puerto Rico the coqui are loud at night.The apartment is cozy and has a good kitchen and there is a grocery store nearby. It's centrally located and you are only 30 or 40 minutes from the main spots you'll want to visit.The only negative is also one of the place's strengths. Its out a ways and I would not make the drive after dark when you arrive.Bonus: you have access to a washer and dryer.

Absolute paradise

The property is everything as advertised. So much so we had planned for a day outing into the rainforest and decided against it because we were so at peace hanging out on the property. We didn’t even bother with the AC. We just opened up all the windows and let the natural air circulate and listen to the sounds of the rainforest. Our host Thomas was incredibly friendly, helpful, and ready with recommendations. Will most definitely be returning to this little slice of Heaven.

Paradise

We had an incredible experience during our stay, thanks to our host, Thomas. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and enjoyed every moment. Thomas was not only welcoming but also extremely informative about Puerto Rico, making him an excellent conversationalist. Even though we arrived late, he was there to greet us with a warm smile, which truly set the tone for our trip.

A great place with a great host

The apartment is located on a mountain surrounded by nature. The fauna is just as great as the view of the ocean and Vieques. You can hear the animals all the time and have peace and quiet due to the remoteness.Tomas is an absolutely great host who is happy to help you, answer questions and give you tips for beaches, excursion destinations and everything else.It was a really nice stay and we are definitely planning to come here again next time!

The Hidden Gem

This property is the East part of Puerto Rico and is different than all other parts. If you want authenticity of Puerto Rico then look no further. This warm home is not about the beach but the mountains and the birds and the tranquility of nature. Respect where you are, away from home, and immerse yourself in the beauty of Puerto Rico.

El studio era sĂșper chulo, contaba con aire acondicionado, shampoo/conditioner, jabĂłn, frisas, toallas, microondas y todo lo bĂĄsico. El ĂĄrea es sumamente verde, se destaca la naturaleza y hay una vista preciosa desde la piscina. Hay varias galerĂ­as para pintar, ĂĄreas para acampar con fogatas y pequeños spots para apreciar la naturaleza incluyendo una vista impresionante de Humacao y Vieques. La piscina era muy bonita, tenĂ­a una cascada y luces de noche, el calentador tuvo problemas durante nuestra estadĂ­a pero aĂșn asĂ­ disfrutamos mucho. TomĂĄs fue muy atento, nos explicĂł todito sobre el airbnb e incluso hizo el gesto de prestarnos su bocina sin pedĂ­rselo. Fue muy amable y cualquier duda que tenĂ­amos la contestaba sin problema. Fue una buena experiencia asĂ­ que se le puede dar en general un 9/10.

A view of a lifetime

This is one of the most beautiful stays I’ve ever seen. As a traveler we know the choice is sacrifice a moderate stay for a breathtaking outdoor scenery or modern interior with a ok outside. This home is an authentic Puerto Rican rain forest stay. If you want to feel the authentic experience of living in a rainforest this is your stay. Tom was the most hospitipal host ever. You mustttt driveee. You must have a vehicle to get around. I used Uber and it was difficult for them to find the home because it’s nestled in the rainforest. The infinity pool is nice and warm and has lights on it at night. It is a stay for 2 but can .acommadate 4. There aren’t enough word to describe how beautiful this stay is. The inside is lived in but the view and landscape is one you’ll never forget. I love Tom and I definitely will be returning to the property

This place was magical! Stunning views, hiking trails, beautiful gardens, very secluded, quick drive to the ocean! Tom was the coolest host we’ve ever had! So much to explore on that side of the island.
