Welcome to your exclusive guest suite, a newly renovated oasis just blocks from the beach, inviting restaurants, and vibrant local markets. This private haven offers a seamless blend of comfort and style, perfect for a romantic escape or a peaceful work-from-home getaway.

Enjoy your own private entrance and two dedicated parking spots; one gated, one in the driveway. Step inside to find a serene, Surf-Zen-inspired space featuring:

• A spacious Cal-king bed and two queen-size sofa beds

• 75" 4K TV with DirecTV and streaming options

• Private bathroom with double sinks and a walk-in shower

• Kitchenette with a fridge/freezer, Keurig coffee maker, and microwave

• Work desk with 400+ Mbps high-speed WiFi

• Generous closet space and storage drawers

Outdoors, relax in your exclusive-use swimming pool area, with plush lounge chairs, a 4-burner BBQ, and a cozy dining setup—ideal for al fresco meals and lazy afternoons.

Pets are welcome, and there’s a lovely park nearby for walks. Just let us know in advance (✔ "I am traveling with pets'") when booking.

Guest Access & House Rules

Guests enter through a secure, private gate at the rear of the main residence. A lockbox provides key access. The pool and BBQ area are for Leucadia Beach Grotto guests only. For everyone's comfort, quiet hours begin at 10 PM. We also ask guests to be mindful of and care for the lush plants and flowers around the property is staying 3+ days.

Please Note:

• All pets must be registered at the time of booking

• The guest count must match the reservation due to city and insurance regulations

• Outside visitors (even if not staying overnight) should be disclosed at booking

• City Rental License: RNTL-013573-2020

The Grotto was such a delightful place to stay! It was very quiet and we woke up each day to the sound of birds chirping. Jason was a fantastic host -- he was very responsive and gave clear, concise instructions. The property was easy to find and well-located. I started most days with a run along the path 2 blocks away and finished with a dip in the pool. The Grotto was also the perfect place to vacation with our dog!

Location!!!

We and our pup had a great stay. Now we’re looking for reasons to go back so we have more time to explore the neighborhoods, food options and the beaches. Very private and quiet.

The Leucadia Beach Grotto was a great find in this quaint seaside town. The private enclosed yard was perfect for relaxing by the pool and very dog friendly! I appreciated our host, Jason, welcomed our little pup with a bowl of water and dog biscuit. The place was super clean and the Keurig coffee machine with pods was an added bonus. The secure off street parking was also nice in an area where parking can be limited. Jason was super responsive to messages and informative about the area. I’ll definitely be back when in the area again.

Perfect beach getaway with our Labrador retriever. The Grotto had everything we needed and Jason the host was very welcoming and responsive. It was close to all kinds of restaurants and within a short drive of dog beach in Del Mar. The weather was exactly what we were looking for, an escape from the Arizona heat. We will definitely rebook this one.

Perfect Getaway

My partner and I stayed for two nights with our two dogs. We were able to enjoy the whole property and loved that the pool was completely private. It was the perfect little getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We also appreciated that Jason and Denise were very communicative. Would highly recommend this property!

Our host was very accommodating. We had an issue with some rain and they came within a half hour to address the problem. Check in and check out was easy. Place was clean and met our needs.

Short and Sweet

Stayed for a few days early November. Easy to find in quiet neighborhood and nearby beach access as well as great places to eat. Property and living area are super clean and provides much privacy. Two thumbs up for extra comfy bed!!

Super clean and pet friendly

This place is fantastic! It’s in a safe neighborhood, close to the beach, pet friendly, very comfortable, fairly priced, and exceptionally clean. What more could you want? We stayed over a month with a dog and cat and loved every minute of it. Thanks Jason and Denise for sharing this wonderful home with us!

The place was extremely clean and approachable. having our own pool and space was amazing. The walk to the beach is a little longer than expected. However, it was great to get a lot of walking in the warm weather. Thank you Jason! Great Job!

Clean, Convenient Location

We had an good experience staying at this property. The property was very clean, exactly as described, and met our expectations. The neighborhood is walkable and is a quick drive to restaurants and shops. Jason provided a water bowl and a cushion for our dog, which was very thoughtful, and there is a small turf area for dog potty breaks. The owner was incredibly responsive and provided clear instructions for self-check-in and checkout, which made the process stress-free. I recommend this place to anyone traveling with pets or looking for a clean and convenient vacation rental!
