Terrible for Families

We were visiting Summersville for a Church function. First off I have rented MANY cabins even in Pigeon Forge and I have never had an owner as demanding as this one. The other thing is I have not had an owner make it seem like the property is your responsibility to do everything for them. We had 2 boys placed in our care shortly before the day, and the owner at first was fighting us on adding them. Most properties if they are under 18 they are not included in the occupancy. Both boys had to sleep on couch as the upstairs was not suitable for kids! The stairs going up was broken when we got there and honestly no way to keep children from going on both patios. I actually even injured myself on the stairs and it cut me through my sleep pants. I can only imagine if it had happened to one of the boys. As mentioned before the owner is way more demanding of their occupants than even someone from Pigeon Forge. Most in the hospitality industry will welcome you in with open arms and treat you like a King. This was not the case for this owner. She expects you to take out the trash for her. Another funny thing is that she laimed it took an extra 5 hours at $20 an hour to clean it for things that would be welcomed in other situations. Again we go to Pigeon Forge all the time. This Property is not suitable for anyone that wants to be there with Family. This is especially the case with Foster Families. I will NEVER even try to rent with this owner.

Perfect Stay

April was a great host! She went above and beyond, anticipating all the needs (and wants) her guests may have. The place was beautiful and perfect for us! And the next time we come to WV, I hope this place is available to book. I'd love to stay here again!!

Location perfect

The outside and neighbors may not appear vacation picture perfect; however, the inside is redone and is extremely nice. (And the neighbors are harmless). The location to see and do almost everything around is perfect

Great little place for a weekend getaway!

The interior is perfect, we had 2 adults in our party. Well stocked, planned, and thought out; everything we needed on the interior was provided. The furniture and bedding are all very comfortable. The cabin is clean and neat, not overly done. The neighbors properties are a bit sketchy looking, in my opinion, making us feel abit uneasy at first, perhaps a privacy fence or line of trees would help. We enjoyed watching wild turkeys, whitetail deer, and geese in our yard. All in all, I recommend this cabin for the interior comfort, and cleanliness. Great little place!

Great Rental

I had a really positive experience at this location. Near the lake, close to town and the new river gorge. The house was clean, well appointed, and had a very comfy couch for relaxing after a few days spent hiking. Seamless check in and check out as well.

Our stay

The cabin was excellent!! It was far above our expectations. The layout was very well designed and the amenities were awesome. All that's needed in our opinion is a full length mirror. This will be our choice to stay in the future.

I've been visiting Summersville Lake for over 10 years now. It's truly amazing & I think still somewhat of an unknown hidden gem. The Lake is absolutely beautiful & clean. The people are kind & personable. Lots to do on & off the water.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Just a short mile and a half drive to BattleRun Boat Dock & Campground. Close to Restaurants, stores, kayak rentals, walking trails, firewood & of course ice cream for those hot Summer days.
