Mike has only good things to say about the cottage and the lake and the location. Not sure why he gave us only four out of five stars. Also do not know what we would need to do to obtain that extra star from him.

We pride ourselves on the quality of the rental experience we provide and will do our best to correct them as soon as possible. We are gratified by your positive remarks (Felt like a second home, etc.) towards the end of your feedback. Believe me, that is the sort of reaction we are more used to receiving from our Guests! Rustic Cove Getaway is a 3-season cottage. We had opened it up just a day or two before you arrived. Problems likely arose from the fact that we had rushed to open it up for you! As is our usual practice we sent you the URL for our extensive cottage Guest Guide to your personal cell phone number on May 22, a full two days before you were scheduled to check in. The Guest Guide contains detailed travel directions to the cottage, has an FAQ section, and describes many features of the cottage and the surrounding Val-des-Monts area. Please, if you did not receive the text message with the Guest Guide URL we would appreciate knowing so we can determine how and why our systems failed. I apologize for the problems you had with the heating and the flue in the fireplace. The flue is normally kept closed over the winter to keep out animals and debris. I would like to point out that I drove over early first thing in the morning, at 7:30 AM to sort that out for you. As I remember I left you with a nice fire to sit around. We will make sure the flue is left open from now on. We will be addressing the problems with the BBQ immediately. Thanks for pointing out the various problems you encountered.
