Owner was quick to respond to our texts/calls and was very helpful, very kind and the house was clean and neat. Our overnight stay was relaxing and you can walk to a beautiful beach just across the street from the property.

Loved staying here

The madrona trees along the harbor are so beautiful. Fun loft and cozy sleeping nook in addition to the bedroom. Appreciated the lots of personal touches, unlike the corporate short term rentals on Whidbey. Can walk to beach.

Great Location to Coupeville

Clean, comfortable 2nd floor place. Great communication with owner. A few minutes to Coupeville. I'd stay again.

The house was clean and had everything we needed! Very comfortable and convenient location- very close to downtown Coupeville. Kevin was very communicative and helpful. The steam shower was a great bonus!! We would definitely stay there again.

We had a good time staying in Whidbey for a weekend getaway. The property is just a few minutes from town and has plenty of room for parking. We spent most of our time out and about, but used the kitchen for breakfast. I’m glad we stayed here but likely wouldn’t stay again because of the cooking amenities. Some of the pros: comfortable bed on the ground floor in a dark space; great shower setup with a rainfall shower; large TV with an HDMI cord; air conditioner worked really well to cool the main floor; comfortable living room and bar stool seating; contactless check in (screen is very scratched though). Cons: property is adjacent with the owner which was not clear in the house description or photos; no outdoor space to use as it smelled like manure in the backyard (septic system needing to be emptied?) and the front yard with the fire pit seemed to be for the owners only; kitchen supplies were lacking or unusable (scratched pots/pans); unit is only accessible by two indoor staircases which were not mentioned in the listing — could be hard older individuals or people with luggage. We reached out to the owner for check in information before our stay instead of having it be proactively sent to us, which always makes me nervous. Overall a good stay but could use some improvements and more clarity / communication.

Whidbey getaway

Loved the place. It was clean & neat & was perfect for us. Three things could be improved. It would be nice to have screens on at least a couple windows so windows could be opened for breeze & fresh air without bugs coming in. Also the listing should mention the stairs to the apartment. My sister has a bad knee & it would have been nice to know about them. Finally, it took us awhile to figure out which door to use. We figured it out but you could make it easier for the next guests. None of those things would be hard to fix. And I’d come back again. Great location. The host was very responsive. We had a nice stay
